It's all an overreact. It's common for the holier than thou PC type. They'll run their mouths as much as they can, but as soon as someone else says something they don't like, they launch into a tirade. You went as far as leveling personal attacks against me at least twice, which is a violation of rules on this forum. But it highlights the point. Especially if you were in previous threads talking about how words are just words. You've rallied against me for nothing more than a choice of words. You've gotten on your soap box and have tried to ruled from up high.

Exactly! It's time for people to grow up and understand rhetoric and the meaning of words. Instead of flying off the handle every time someone mentions some key word they don't like. I had a friend who hated it when people would say "gay" to mean stupid. Any time anyone would say "that's gay" or whatever, she launched into holier-than-thou PC rant against whomever said it. It was pathetic, and people stopped listening to her because they knew she was full of ****. And she was. She stopped acting like a jerk after a little while.

She'll resurface - you don't live off of popularity and then turn away a chance to be in the limelight.

She feels very strongly about her beliefs - and with the opportunities to become a proponent in politics after some of the bruuha has died down - she'll be going against her grain if she doesn't persue them.

I'm not thinking as early as 2012 - but in 10 years from now, absolutely. Some of her opposition would have died down in politics - a lot of people won't even be around - and she'll have a cleaner slate.

Time erases many things.

I think she's probably done with politics. It's hard to bury things so well documented by the public the likes of her VP run and all the other things surrounding her life. Furthermore, I think that in general the GOP would do a lot better for itself by letting Palin go by the wayside and moving on in a real, conservative, small government policy.

Time doesn't erase the record of the things she says. I agree that Sarah is an attention whore. I think it's not clear yet whether she'll stay in the arts and entertainment arena or try and act like a serious politician.

I think she's like Anita Bryant, but doesn't sing. She needs a few more appearances on Saturday Night Live.
