FOXNews.com - Obama Ignores 'Climate-Gate' in Revising Copenhagen Plans

I for one am shocked that the Messiah has chosen this this path. Who would have ever thought that Obama looked upon as the Savior of the World would do anything like this. Forget that I have been saying right along that the Leftist will ignore this issue as they have the facts in all others issues. You have to admit he's nothing else if not consistent in his disregard for what is staring him in the face.

To interrupt his plans for as he put it: "Under my plan energy bills will necessarily skyrocket.," would slow down the destruction of the economy and the move to Socialism. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HlTxGHn4sH4"]YouTube- Obama: My Plan Makes Electricity Rates Skyrocket[/ame]

What's that you say? There is no move to Socialism. Well let's see what Howard dean says about that;[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TLl2bTEWv-Q"]YouTube- Howard Dean Declares The Debate Between Capitalism And Socialism Is Over![/ame]

Need I say more. This article pretty much shows his intent.
The controversy swirling around the leaked e-mails of climate scientists apparently trying to downplay data and exclude dissenting opinions has led to calls for President Obama to skip this month's climate summit in Denmark until the e-mails can be investigated.

Instead, the White House announced Friday that Obama was doubling down on his commitment to the summit's goals and moving his visit later in the month, hoping it will secure a "meaningful" agreement.

The scandal being referred to as "Climate-gate" has rallied global warming skeptics, who say the threat is exaggerated -- let alone caused by humans. In some of the e-mails stolen by hackers and posted online, scientists at Britain's University of East Anglia's Climatic Research Unit appear to discuss hiding or deleting data that may contradicts global warming claims. Others discuss ways of keeping competing research out of peer-reviewed journals.

Former Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin is the most prominent figure to call on Obama to boycott the conference in Copenhagen in the wake of the e-mails' release.

"The president's decision to attend the international climate conference in Copenhagen needs to be reconsidered in light of the unfolding Climategate scandal," she said in a posting on her Facebook page. "Boycotting Copenhagen while this scandal is thoroughly investigated would send a strong message that the United States government will not be a party to fraudulent scientific practices."

But on Friday, Obama abruptly delayed his arrival at the summit until Dec. 18, the last scheduled day and considered a crucial period when more leaders will be in attendance. Obama is hoping to capitalize on steps by India and China and build a more meaningful political accord, the White House said.

Religious Zealots will always ignore common sense. It doesn't matter if they are christians who think just praying and not taking their child to the hospital will cure their child or Enviro-wackos and other idiot who believe in the man made global warming fairy tale religion. Although when it comes to politicians I think they know that the man made global warming fairy tale is bogus and wish to only exploit it to increase taxes and force people to purchase things they normally wouldn't.

Councilman,

He says "wouldn't necessarily sky rocket", though the n't is a bit rushed and not pronounced well.

"would necessarily" is awkward, improper grammar.

B.S.
He clearly says they would.
He further goes on to explain why they would, his plan, cap and trade, would cause those plants to retrofit (which is also a continuing expense), and they would pass on the additional expense to consumers.

Your version, that he said they wouldn't, doesn't fit with his further comments as to why they would.

The following comments work either way. He acknowledges that there are costs involved with "retrofitting" coal/power planets. That doesn't mean that he believes his plan's going to make prices "sky-rocket". There is a difference between a sky-rocket in prices and a raise in prices. There just isn't the context of the latter part of his statement, to give the clip the feeling that he's trying to confirm that the prices would skyrocket.

I have watched and listened to this a hundred times and there is no question what he said or in my mind what his intentions are. Every proposal he is pushing or has implemented such as the failed Cash for Clunkers fiasco has pet this Nation closer and closer to economic Armageddon.

The cost to retrofit a coal powered plant is such it is easier for the company to close down as was made crystal clear when the Mohave Generating Plant shut down a few years ago in Laughlin Nevada rather that install the Bad house and scrubbers ordered by the court. It sure mad the air cleaner but left a whole in energy production, and the shortage is still being felt.

Don't get me wrong I was for the cleaning up of the operation and they could have afforded to do it they just didn't want to, and it put a lot of people at the plant and the coal field on an Indian Reservation out of work.

If Obama gets with Cap and Trade the power bills skyrocketing will be the first promise he will have kept.

"We know that the perpetrators who hacked the computer systems of the UEA will be brought to justice, and the information that they manufactured will be shown to be inaccurate." Barack Hussein Obama

But of course he won't change his direction regarding CC. This issue carries the single most potential to reduce western prominence, limit private wealth and put America in the hands of the Federal government.

Unfortunately he isn't alone in completely ignoring the information released in the 1,000 some odd e-mails.

ClimateGate Totally Ignored By TV News Outlets Except Fox
By Noel Sheppard (Bio | Archive)
November 24, 2009 - 11:03 ET

The Obama administration has another reason to hate Fox: it appears to be the only national television news outlet in America interested in the growing ClimateGate scandal.

Despite last Friday morning's bombshell that hacked e-mail messages from a British university suggested a conspiracy by some of the world's leading global warming alarmists -- many with direct ties to the United Nations' Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change -- to manipulate temperature data, ABC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, and NBC through Monday evening have completely ignored the subject......
