At least money will not have to be wasted on his criminal trial, sentencing or his incarceration or execution.

Seattle police kill suspect in officer slayings - Yahoo! News

SEATTLE – Authorities say a man who gunned down four police officers was shot and killed by a lone officer who found the suspect in a stolen vehicle on a Seattle street.

Assistant Police Chief Jim Pugel says 37-year-old Maurice Clemmons was killed about 2:45 a.m. Tuesday. Pugel says the officer found the car, which had been recently stolen, recognized Clemmons and ordered him to show his hands and stop. Pugel says Clemmons wouldn't stop, and the officer fired several rounds.

4 Police Officers Shot Dead Near Washington State Air Force Base

Maurice Clemmons, man wanted for questioning, has troubling criminal history

I heard about this, I am glad that this man is dead. He desvered to be killed for those police officers death :

The guy shouldn't have run (nor should he have killed the police officers in the first place). I have no sympathy for him, and the officer that shot him was only doing his job.

What I find more worrisome is the fact that apparently this guy told some friends the night before that he was planning on killing some cops and no one did anything.

That is disturbing.

I'm sorry he is dead because he needed to suffer the consequences of his actions.

He did.

I just hope it wasn't immediate death (i.e., I want to think he suffered some pain before he died).

I think going to jail and all that stuff is worse than what he experienced.

Those are not threads on the suspect being killed.

So what? Wanna start a thread because he sneezed before getting shot? or one about sheriff's deputies rounding up family and friends for aiding and abetting him? or a thread for the memorial services? or one about him stealing a car to escape?

The Pierce County Sheriff's Department is now rounding up family and friends for aiding and abetting this guy. Maybe 7 or so in all.

Oops, this isn't about the shooting. It should probably be discussed in a separate thread ;)

"We expect to have maybe six or seven people in custody by the day's end," said Ed Troyer, a spokesman for the Pierce County sheriff. "Some are friends, some are acquaintances, some are partners in crime, some are relatives. Now they're all partners in crime."

Prosecute these people to the fullest extent of the law. Good god, what type of person helps a murderer, knowing he is a murderer?

no way was this going to end otherwise.

As the OP said, Why bother with all the needless expense of trials, incarcerations, or executions, let's just have the police shoot the suspects to death, and be done with it.

If those are newsworthy stories then yes they should have their own thread so that those events can be discussed specifically just like the scumbag being shot is being discussed specifically on this thread minus the douche bag whining about how he thinks there is one too many threads.

I am all for police shooting suspects who refuse to surrender or suspects who approach police in a threatening manner. Because of that the victims loved ones do not have to spend months of possibly years trying to make sure that justice gets served on the killer. The tax payers do not have fund for his trials, incarceration, possible medical treatments, execution or the appeals that him or his lawyers would have most certainly used.

I am no way endorsing that police go out and shoot suspects. However if that suspect is stupid enough to not surrender or to not follow a police officer's instructions while the police officer is trying to apprehend that suspec, t then that suspect deserves to be shot. Especially that individual suspected of shooting those four police officers. If he was smart he would have surrender with his hands up in the air to show police officers that he wants to surrender.

Given this guy's record, I think it's safe to say that smart isn't one of his attributes.

sometimes that's exactly what we do. unless, of course, the suspect is wealthy.
