that's why they were fired
within hours
LOL!
it's cuz the community organizers TRY so hard
that's why they, the community organizers, are enablers
it's all in the EFFORT
There's nothing to analogize. When Prof says they enable child prostitution and human trafficking when there are no cases of it, it's an outright lie. I just wish Prof would back up his statement.
Yes integrity you know that thing that slips through your grasp amidst your continued hyperpartisanship where you claim something happened which didnt happen. Last month or so i posted what a real undercover investigation looked like when teams sent by bloomberg went to gunshows and tried buying arms while claiming they would fail a background check. Current law states that if a dealer has reason to believe that the person purchasing the arms would fail a background check then they are obligated to not permit the purchase. During this many dealers failed and allowed people to purchase when they knew the person wouldnt pass. Also they found that some allowed straw purchases where one person fills out the paperwork while another purchases the gun. Now the point is this investigation posted video footage of everything they did including those who didnt follow the law as well as those that did. There is bound to be footage where the fake pimp and ho were turned away. If the filmmaker had any integrity he would release everything. So far though his past projects seem to attack organizations that help mainly minorities. Like him calling planned parenthood and saying he wanted his donations to go to aborting black babies.if HE had integrity---LOL!
There is no game being played here. What you and prof continue to fail to grasp is there was no child prostitution or hooking it was a filmmaker making up a fake scenario. Those responsible for not doing their job were fired. When prof claims they enabled child prostitution and human trafficking its just as big a lie as youre saying they did nothing to prevent it. Thus far there are no cases presented where they enabled or fail to prevent actual child prostitution or human trafficking. Fancy it up however you want trebek, but you cant change the meaning of words.Ok ok so, I'll play your game. There is no proof that they DID enable child prostitution or hooking..
HOWEVER, there is evidence that they sure as hell didn't try and stop it.

I fail to grasp nothing here youre making an argument that prof was right when he claimed something that didnt happen happened. Im all for an investigation of acorn as well as the firms who actually did support child prostitution and receive billions from our government annually compared to the millions acorn got over 15 years. Its not worth the hysterics you and prof are making out of it. So because you have no proof they enabled youre going to go off into hysterics as if they did. No paperwork was filled out, nothing was ever completed. I try to call a spade a spade as opposed to you and prof claiming they enabled or failed to present something that did not happen.Thankfully it was fake THIS TIME. What happened if REAL prostitutes and human traffickers had gone in there? Do you think the absence of a hidden camera would have changed anything? No, we may never know if ACORN has or hasn't helped anyone in REAL LIFE do these things. This is what YOU fail to grasp.
When you work for a company, you are the face of that company. True ACORN isn't promoting these things, but that someone in their organization would does not look good for them.
There is one case where a fake prostitute went in and got the assistance. If it was that easy for a filmmaker to do it, then why not a REAL prostitute. (Let alone, where did he come up with the idea? Just a random guess? or perhaps...he had heard things...rumors...and acted on them?)
Deny it all you want, you're just as wrong as you claim Prof is. We're all wrong to some degree, but ACORN has no proof to counter these claims and the media has a tape of the actions being taken.
Im all for an investigation of acorn
You had employees getting fired for doing stuff they werent
Im not as wrong as i claim prof is
I've stated several times in other topics about Acorn that I've always been for an investigation just like I'm for an investigation for military contractors, the NRA, and other lobbyist organizations. We don't have a parliament oh crazy one.well, there ya go
you see? i told you few defend it
i'm proud of you
(except our stupid president and his pals in parliament)
you're a funny guy, mr moran
Judge grants injunction against Congressional defunding of ACORN. | Raw StoryA US District Court judge has granted a preliminary injunction against last September's defunding of anti-poverty group ACORN by a vote of Congress.
ACORN had filed a lawsuit claiming that Congress's action violated the explicit Constitutional prohibition against bills of attainder -- punishments handed out to an isolated individual or group by legislative proceedings rather than through the courts.
The judge agreed that "the plaintiffs have raised a fundamental issue of separation of powers. They have been singled out by Congress for punishment that directly and immediately affects their ability to continue to obtain federal funding, in the absence of any judicial, or administrative, process adjudicating guilt."

Constitutional safeguards at work, and a judge with the nads to apply them
let the crying begin
So you think ACORN should receive our tax dollars while being under indictment in 14 states, and films of aiding a couple in starting up an underage prostitution ring?
Yet, if a republican so much as sneezes while in any capacity you call for their total destruction......yeah sounds fair.

what other aspects of the Constitution do you oppose?
I don't oppose the Constitution, I support it. Which is why I want groups like ACORN that would rather it be torn down, to be disbanded so that a group that may well have the peoples true interests at heart can flourish. ACORN, and SEIU are little more than todays version of the WWII era 'Brownshirts', enforcers for a Marxist agenda.

you support the Constitution but you also support the bill of attainer against acorn
that's a contradiction

Its just too bad a federal judge disagrees with you. Everone deserves the right to a trial under our system regardless of how corrupt they are perceived. This was a bill of attainder it specifically singled out one group. Laws in our country are meant to be broad they cant hurt or help one entity or person.Being de-funded doesn't quite fall under a "Bill of Attainder" situation. They're removing funds because evidence surfaced of corruption. Now, I can see where that might be seen as punishment without trial, but I don't think you have the right to a trial when you are found to be corrupt, or rather have corrupt employees, while receiving funds from the Government. I don't really know though. I'm looking into it.

If the terms of their contracts were violated - sure suspend their funding. I feel certain that if they were, the Michelle Malkins of the right would have ferreted them out already.EpicDude86 said:I don't know for sure what the stipulations for the funding were, but I'm guessing that funding can be cut at any time if you violate a term of the contract or are found to be misappropriating the funds.
A couple of your neighbors have complained that you were speeding down the street the other day. So based on those allegations it's probably a good idea to impound your automobile. 'Just in case'......:lol:EpicDude86 said:Do the undercover videos qualify? Not by themselves, but with all the flak ACORN was catching, it's probably a good idea to suspend their funding until someone can figure out what was going on. Just in case.

Corporate and political officials who defy workplace and community organizers risk being made objects of scorn by bright red-clad protestors in public and private, courtesy of an activist union and its close allies in the nation’s most controversial liberal non-profit advocacy group.
It’s officially called the “Muscle for Money” program within the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) where it was started, and unofficially by the same name among activists of Association of Community Organizers for Reform Now (ACORN).
ACORN is under investigation in at least 14 states over voter registration fraud allegations stemming from the 2008 presidential campaign. The group endorsed President Barack Obama, despite federal laws barring partisan political activities by tax-exempt groups.
Muscle for Money includes multiple techniques for creating highly aggressive, organized efforts both to pressure businesses and officials to support the activists’ agenda or to discredit and intimidate opponents of their agenda, according to present and former ACORN members.
SEIU has funded Muscle for Money activities in the past and continues to finance corporate shakedown efforts across the country as part of this program. SEIU locals 100 and 880 have been identified as allied organizations on ACORN’s web site.
That information has since been removed from the ACORN web site, but U.S. Department of Labor LM-2 financial disclosure forms
show over $600,000 in transactions between these same locals and ACORN operations in recent years.

[emphasis added by bubba]A federal judge retained her position that it is unconstitutional for Congress to prevent funding for the activist group ACORN after a government request that she reconsider.
U.S. District Judge Nina Gershon cemented her earlier decision in December and made the injunction permanent against government intervention permanent, asking all federal agencies to spread the word that money to ACORN be allowed without delay.
The judge wrote that it was "unmistakable that Congress determined ACORN's guilt before defunding it." Congress may investigate ACORN but cannot "rely on the negative results of a congressional or executive report as a rationale to impose a broad, punitive funding ban on a specific, named organization."
...
"This is why the Constitution contains a prohibition against Congress enacting a bill of attainder – to prevent Congress from acting as judge jury and executioner," said Jules Lobel, a cooperating attorney with the center. ...
oops,
looks like congress was guilty of premature defunding
