Quietly, the President Finds That Golf Is No Slam Dunk

Looks more like libs can't take what they dished out over the past years....There's your "wah"! :2wave:

j-mac

either it was wrong when the libs did and when you do it, or it was ok when the libs did and when you do it. Which is true?

i seem to hear this a lot. if you didn't believe bush had it coming, why do you believe obama does?

is this a case of "wah.......he started it, mom!" ?????

Those doing the hammering were the children (of all ages), not the "left" nor the "right".

I always ask this question. Most always run from answering.

800 rounds? I'm guessing that averages out to more than once a week.

Golf rocks, I wish I were president.:)

I read the entire article and there was zero "breaking news" in it.

I just had to post this Wall Street Journal article, to point out what seems to be what the president is most focused on, and what he sees a top priority.

It's interesting to see that hardcore Liberals aren't all that different from hardcore Conservatives when it comes to pointing out non-issues like this. If you think it comes off as anything but opportunistic and partisan, you are kidding yourself.

who cares if grim is or isn't partisan, he's as entitled as anyone else

the news is the news, that's the point

and playing 18 rounds once a week just doesn't LOOK good

i mean, considering where we are

ask bush and his critics about the links

it's not politic to overlook appearances

President Nero.

Obama golfed while America burned.

I'm not saying he isn't entitled. I just find it funny how similar hardcore liberals and hardcore conservatives are. If this were a thread about how much Bush golfed it would be pretty much the same except the roles would be flipped.

All pols are cold and disconnected, I would rather have Obama, here, and golfing, then flying around the world, apologizing for this country.

I agree with that. Let him golf 36 holes a day....PLEASE! The less time in the office the better.

no kidding

except:

1. w-stands-for-what's-his-name is history

2. he didn't

3. if he did, he'd be opening himself to criticism---per the first amendment

Probably.
Has the WSJ nothing better to print?

I remember, as a young man, the amount of golf that DDE played.
Is this what we have here?
Did you read my opinion on the matter?

Oh no, the President golfs, how awful. As if the President's team of staff and advisors are just made up of him? As if when he steps away from the office for a day, the whole Republic will crumble to pieces?

This really is pathetic. There are good reasons to have a beef with Obama, but this isn't one of them. What a total lack of creativity.

The article itself isn't really partisan... I just thought it was quite interesting that while we have some of the most pressing issues this country has faced in decades, that president Obama has found the time to golf 25 times, when he hasn't even made a decision on the troops he's sending to Afghanistan.

I remember how the left hammered Bush when he golfed, but I guess democrats have two sets of standards.

The insiders say he prefers playing golf because he can smoke freely.

I think it's been established, so chill.

it is beyond outrageous that a president who pushes comprehensive health care that encompasses as a centerpiece of policy prevention and wellness---actually taking shots at our overweight and personally plagued neighbors, friends and family members---would continue to demonstrate the lacks of discipline and character required to quit smoking

he's a hypocrite

worse, he LOOKS (and smells) like one

I think it's been established, so chill.

Why? It's fun to make fun of those who bring up stupid crap. We should be allowed to have our fun. This is not quite as ridiculous as the thread about Michelle Obama's shoes, but it is close, and it deserves a good ridiculing.

Yeah, inflate your tires and turn down the thermostat whille I buy $500 shoes.
