I just had to post this Wall Street Journal article, to point out what seems to be what the president is most focused on, and what he sees a top priority.

Quietly, the President Finds That Golf Is No Slam Dunk
By ELIZABETH WILLIAMSON

EXCERPT

But as president, Mr. Obama has neglected the court. He has played only seven known games of basketball since taking office, compared with 25 rounds of golf, a sport he picked up about a decade ago when he was an Illinois state senator. That's more golf than former President George W. Bush played in two terms, according to CBS White House correspondent Mark Knoller, who tracks presidential trivia. (In 2003, Mr. Bush quit golf, saying he did so out of respect for the troops serving in Iraq. Since leaving office, he has returned to the sport, an aide says.)

this is breaking news? do you ever post anything that is not blatantly partisan?

Do you ever have an opinion that isn't?

The article itself isn't really partisan... I just thought it was quite interesting that while we have some of the most pressing issues this country has faced in decades, that president Obama has found the time to golf 25 times, when he hasn't even made a decision on the troops he's sending to Afghanistan.

I remember how the left hammered Bush when he golfed, but I guess democrats have two sets of standards.

Yeah this is some breaking news. Well other than him quitting gold because of an injury and him playing again before the end of his term. Much like him quitting drinking but drinking before the end of his term.

Okay I've seen this complaint about Obama now for some time. To be fair, I don't know if I can blame him for playing golf as a reason for his delays. I think it's just his nature to be indecisive. Afterall GHWB went to Kennebunkport a lot, and GWB went to Crawford. It didn't affect their decisions.

Please prove that this is what the President is most focused on and what he sees as a top priority.

See...the article is not partisan...but your comment most certainly is unless you can prove it. Let's see if you can.

I see no proof of this. How many strokes is he taking? I'd like to compare.

That's kind of personal isn't it?

It's called an "Opinion" mixed with partisan sarcasm... My opinion... My sarcasm.

Maybe a WH Beer Summit.

Thank you for admitting your intent on presenting this in a partisan and dishonest way.

He plays some golf - who cares? Everyone needs and deserves a day off - and he's the president, he doesn't get any "days off" - not even while he's on vacation.

When my husband was deployed in Iraq (16 of an 18 month tour) he had a schedule - some of it was "off duty" - and he'd make me jewelry in his down time. . . some awesome pieces, very pretty - all cool.
I use to post pictures of his work online with my jewelry-business and the negative comments I'd get were agregious. . . things like "he's suppose to be fighting and killing, not making you jewelry" and crap like that.

People don't get it - Everyone in the world has a job, they do their job, and sometimes they get to have some "down" time (nights, weekends, etc) . . . but it's never really "down" time for the president and soldiers, etc, because they're living at their work, their duty follows them everywhere along with personal assistants and everything else.

Though I don't like Obama, didn't vote for him, and would rather have McCain or Barr as president I don't feel like that robs him of the right to *try* to relax.

Not at all... My opinion, just as yours and everyone elses, is partisan.

Some just present them in a more partisan and dishonest way...like your comments in the OP. But thank you for admitting they were just opinion and had no basis in fact.
