Here's some more bad news... as if we really needed any more.

Rising unemployment taxes could hinder hiring
By CHRISTOPHER S. RUGABER,

WASHINGTON – As if small businesses needed another reason not to hire, consider their latest financial burden: The cost of rising unemployment itself.

Employers already are squeezed by tight credit, rising health care costs, wary consumers and a higher minimum wage. Now, the surging jobless rate is imposing another cost. It's forcing higher state taxes on companies to pay for unemployment insurance claims.

Some employers say the extra costs make them less likely to hire. That could be a worrisome sign for the economic recovery, because small businesses create about 60 percent of new jobs. Other employers say they'll cut or freeze pay.

The Government wishes to destroy the 97% of the economy that is small business and then tax the Evil 3% that have all the money. Makes sense to me! Ahhhh, iddn't life great?!

BTW, 97% of the economy is not small business....

Now, who here thought that these jake-leg Libbos that are running the show really intended on doing anything that would be healthy for the job market? Be honest!

Making more poor people is in their best interest.

BTW, 97% of the economy is not small business....

Sorry, it was 99.7% in 2006 (Yes I know before most of the **** hit the fan), and I am looking at the Government's Office of Small Business Advocacy for the current figure.

The government has no desire to destroy the economy.
Why would it, anyways?
Nobody wins anything from that.

Please source the statistical manipulation used to derive this obscene figure....

How do you explain the bonehead moves they've been making?

They're ignorant, perhaps, or foolish, but definitely not malicious.
The government has nothing to win from wrecking the economy.
Nobody does.

You know what I was off. It's 99.7% of the employer businesses. How many non-employer businesses are there? Seriously, I want to correct this. This also accounts for 50% of the non-farm workforce.

A Marxist would. >.> Just ask Glenn Beck! He's on to those Marxo-Communo-Socialists in Congress and the White House!!!

Non-employer businesses = independent contractors

If owner = only employee, then it is a non-employer.

As for farm workforce, they're not Americans, they're mostly illegals.

If they employed Americans, food would be expensive like hell.

(which would not be so bad... it might reduce obesity!)

Follow the money: how much of real GDP is earned in the form of income from small business?

Hint: see national income accounting

I figured, and as such I kinda assumed the amount of those businesses increased as of late, but not drastically.

Which double-sucks because they're sending the money home to Mexico.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA. It's not a bad idea...I think you're on to something!

So, it's not intentional, it's just stupidity?

It has got to suck, when your only options to defend your party are malice, or incompetance and you choose the latter...:rofl

LOL

Yes, they get a hard-on when they hear people are getting fired.

MUHAHAHAHA

Well, not everyone in the party, just the ones in charge... the moderates, such as Obama.

The progressives have good ideas, but they have no way of implementing them because they don't hold much clout in the party.

Therefore, the blue dogs and moderates get to go around doing stupid things at light speed while progressives and conservatives alike scream at the wall and hang from a chandelier.

We're on a highway to hell... happily riding in a breadbasket!
:rofl

I wish we had a parliamentary system, then we wouldn't have to be stuck with two lousy parties.

We could have lots and lots of lousy parties like they have in France.

Unfortunately, 25 million people -illegal or not- aren't going anywhere.

The Progressives? Progressive Liberals is the biggest oxymoron in the history of man-kind. Libbos, especially the progressive sort have nothing to gain from a prosperous free enterprise economy.

Yes we do. Are you crazy?
We want the economy to prosper. We want there to be jobs, technological progress, science, education, etc.
We gain from a prosperous economy.
But we want sustainable prosperity. That means an economy that is not only prosperous today, but tomorrow!

Yeah, right! Stop, trying to be a comic, dude!

Fewer poor people is the worst thing that could happen to the Libbos.

You might want it to prosper, but only to a certain point. You sure as hell don't want any self-made millionares.
