RNC Insurance plan covers abortion

Yeah, good thing there aren't actually any "death panels" in any of the healthcare bills.

There are, but some just cannot seem to come to grips with this fact.

Feel free to post the language you think creates a death panel so I can explain why you're wrong.

In the meantime, think about just how preposterous the idea is.

It has been in the news for days, the mammogram issue, this is in the bill, of course they changed the name of this panel, but this new group will have the force of law behind their recommendations.

The idea is actually one that I support, in a free market, the old should not be allowed to steal from the young, all so they can live a few more years. The costs are too high, the government has already spent their funds, and there is no where left for them to go. If I were in their position, I would be angry as well, they have a right to be angry, they were sold a terrible bill of goods.

There's a reason we left the GOP :2wave:
You should join the libertarian party, they're getting so much done.

THAT's what you call a death panel?

It's not in the bill btw.

The whole idea of a death panel is well known, it is only the ignorant that would assume that this means a group of people, sitting at a table, and deciding exactly which american lives, and which dies. Of course this is absurd, the government never has this blood on their hands, just as they are clean when they "do not torture" yet they send in airstrikes that kill woman and children everyday! We hold ourselves to a "higher standard", lol, what hypocrites we have in this country, and on this board.

The fact is that panels will decide when and if certain life saving procedures will be allowed, and those who are in that specific risk catagory, these people will die. In a free society, those who can afford to pay their bills, will be allowed to see the doctor of their choice. It is really quite simple, under a government plan, we will all share the misery, and that is not what we were promised, and civil war will break out, eventually!

If it was your grandmother, would you be alright with her just dying in the above situation?

And if you couldn't afford to?

Well then those are the cold hard facts of life, and I would miss her, but I would never ask anyone to pay for her health care, and certainly not at gun point!

Fair enough.

As I look at it though, a program like this is a social agreement. Everyone pays for the program, and everyone can use the program.

Wrong!

Everyone pays, then the government spends the money, and no one gets what they have been promised! This "social agreement" is bankrupt, the promise was never meant to be kept, it was simply a way to garner votes, period!

When are you people going to wake the hell up?:doh

Why can't we all just agree to keep the promise? And correct me if I'm wrong, but everyone gets social security, which is another social agreement.

And that is in the red as well, and even if the checks keep coming, the coming inflation will eat that check up in no time.

Take care of yourself, be prepared, do not trust the government, they will not be there when you need them.

Well why can't we reform the government to be there when we need it? The government is nothing but an extension of we the people after all.

Because "we the people" only consist of a very few who want to work hard, make money, and live in freedom, the rest are sitting on their arse, waiting for the next handout! The federal government has become, well........."uncle sam" that rich uncle who makes promises, but never picks you up for that baseball game.

Like I said, depend on yourself, your family, leave these people to starve, they would do the very same to you!

People don't realize how much of our society is based on social constructs. It's almost kind of sad.

The roads were paid for over 60 years ago, get a new line, this one is as tired as the same pothole I run over every day.

That said, if only we had roads to worry about, I think the first interstate highway bill consisted of 47 pages.........I would lol, at the bills of today, but they are far from funny.

Why does it matter when they were paid for? We still do repairs on them. What about basic government concepts such as currency and police protection?

What is sad is, that people do not understand that the individual is what is most important, not the collective. There are no social contracts, there is one constitution though, you should read it.

I support these(police, fire, emergency, etc) through my state, the federal government should have nothing to do with this. As far as currency goes, the federal government screwed that up as well, everything they touch seems to turn to ****, this is no exception.

What a lot of people don't seem to get is just because it may be s certain way does not mean it's the right way and it for damn sure doesn't mean more of it is a good thing.
The RNC needs to put up a going out of business sign they have lost touch with the people that once made the party a force to be dealt with just as I believe Obama's disciples have lost touch with the core American values and what the Constitution is all about.
Most people all want the same things and being a radical on the left or right is no way to go about it and not have the whole system suffer as this one is going to if Obama gets his way with Socialist/Communist plans.
I know you Liberals won't believe it so before you go running down the street with your hair on fire calling me names read what these two philosophies are all about. Their goals are the same and the only difference id the method used to achieve that goal.

You really are naive.

New roads are built daily, and all require regular maintenance regardless of age.
