ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates — The U.S. Homeland Security secretary says she is working to prevent a possible wave of anti-Muslim sentiment after the shootings at Fort Hood in Texas.

Janet Napolitano says her agency is working with groups across the United States to try to deflect any backlash against American Muslims following Thursday's rampage by Army Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, a Muslim who reportedly expressed growing dismay over the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Homeland Security Secretary is interested more in appeasement of Muslims than protecting our Borders from infiltrators.

Why was Napolitano in the United Arab Emirates on Sunday for talks with security officials and a meeting with women university students in Abu Dhabi. She needs to be careful because the Muslims don't look kindly on her proclivities when it comes to young women.

in the UAE:

There's no compulsory Islamic dress code.
They have equal literacy rates as men.
hell they even have maternity leave.

It's one of the more liberal countries in the Middle East.

So far both posters have totally missed the main problem with what Napolitano is doing in what she says, which is being more concerned with not upsetting Muslims and remaining PC at all costs. Being PC and bow to Islamic beliefs and under no circumstances say anything remotely near the truth and facts.

As to the UAE being westernized. Yes in many ways but they are but that does not extend into tolerating gays.

These two posters are perfect examples of those who either like to answer questions not asked or respond to statements not made. It can make some people look smart if it goes unrecognized for what it is.
 
I believe that, for a change, Muslims should start trying not to upset Americans.

Perhaps she should have focused on getting him out of the military when there was (according to recent reports) attempts by Hasan to contact known terror organizations.
I also wonder if she would be worried about backlash against what she considers the real terrorist threat- right wing Americans who support the Constitution. It is my estimation that she would not be worried about them at all and would passively support backlash against them.

Every years According to Border patrol agents thousands Arabs have been crossing into the U.S. from Mexico. And 10 were arrested in Douglas AZ after paying $7,000 each to make the trip over the border. Given the history of some Islamic groups and their general wish to destroy the U.S. it just might make sense to think it an easy way to INFILTRATE our nation.

Let me put it like this:

A couple of years ago, I traveled to Ensenada Mexico to attend a 50 mile fun bike ride. The night we arrived in town, hundreds of bratty American kids were driving up and down the main drag, riding on top of their cars, honking their horns, some women had taken off their shirts and were waving their tops in the air, sitting on top of the car.
It made me cringe when I saw their behavior.

As a Christian....I am often embarassed the same way by the way some of my fellow Christians act. I think sometimes we are so disrespectful of others that we sort of invite some of the ridicule that we get.

As much as I hate the department of Homeland Security and think it should be abolished, I think their goal is supposed to do something with security on the homeland. Meaning that she is coming out to warn against retaliation against American Muslims. Dumb, stupid people who probably should get out of the gene pool will try to use this shooting to encourage more hatred and intolerance against all Muslims. The Homeland Security Secretary is commenting on that and trying to make the homeland more "secure" by trying to prevent the dumb and stupid from acting dumb and stupid and encouraging hate and violence against American Muslims.
