The Pennsylvania Supreme Court yesterday dismissed thousands of juvenile convictions issued by a judge charged in a corruption scandal, saying that none of the young offenders got a fair hearing.
The high court yesterday threw out more than five years' worth of juvenile cases heard by disgraced former Luzerne County Judge Mark Ciavarella, who is charged with accepting millions of dollars in kickbacks to send youths to private detention centers.

This judge should be in prison. What he did was to sell thousands of children as slaves to the prison industry. Has he no shame at all in what he did? On my list of scumbags, he is at the top of the list, right there with the child molesters and child porn creeps. I sincerely hope that he receives the appropriate prison justice from the general population for his crimes against humanity. And when he gets out, if he ever does, I hope his butthole is big enough to park a Cadillac in. This creep is the scum of the scum.

Hopefully he is sent to prison and exposed to the same treatment he sentenced those youths to.

his actions not only harmed innocent kids, but because all his convictions had to be overturned, any legitimate cases are not likely to be retried.

greed.

Welcome to the corporate era. People will sell their souls for a dime.

To me, that's all fine and dandy. It's only when you are selling other people's souls for your own gain. That judge is no more than a slave-trader.

Of course Both of the judges should be jailed for a very long time but what i didn't see was anything about the people paying the judges being brought up on charges. Or did I just miss that part. Privately owned and operated detention centers are paid based on occupancy therefore the motive for the pay offs. I would think that more than one person was involved in paying off the judges making it a criminal conspiracy and possibly falling under the RICO laws. That being the case the county or State which ever has jurisdiction could then take position of the facility or facilities involved, Chances are they were built because the Government couldn't afford to guild them and now here is a way to have them for free and end any possible further corruptions possibilities.
It might save them a few dollars and they will need lost of money once the lawyers swoop in to file law suits for all kinds of rights violations.

no wonder Polanski didnt hang around:shock:
