Sen. James Inhofe tells Newsmax that the cap-and-trade bill that Democrats support would amount to "the largest tax increase in the history of America" — and won't accomplish anything.

The Oklahoma Republican also he would be "shocked" if the bill has enough votes to pass the Senate.

The bill, which the House passed, requires a 17 percent reduction of greenhouse gases — mainly carbon dioxide from burning fossil fuels such as coal — by 2020 compared with 2005 levels, and about an 80 percent reduction by mid-century. It would also allow polluters to buy and sell emission allowances as a way to ease the cost of compliance.

Possible liberal reaction to this story: This is another lie from the right and it's all just another example of racism straight up.

My response: This was to be expected as it is the first response of those who lack an intelligent informed response. This is what liberals are taught to do to try to take the focus off the subject just in case there is some truth in the issue. Oh yeah there is one other thing. This is idiotic plan to try to save us from a false threat based on a HOAX if allowed to pass will be the final nail in the coffin that contains what little is left of the economy. It's coming they hope too fast for you to figure out what they are doing as they join Obama in his goal.

He is trying his best to make this our reality. I would change one word at the end of that comment to make it fit what he really trying to do. I'd replace "change" with "destroy", because it this passes that is what will happen.

Those that believe this will help the "earth" will scream Inhofe is just a stooge of Big Oil.

Those that realize that this is will really be about making sure the "right" people get stupid rich will agree with Sen. Inhofe. Cap and Trade scheme's do little to stop Carbon output and do a lot to transfer wealth to those willing to play along.

And I read it. It was a very editorialized accounting of the same events that were editorialized in the OP.
