U.S. troops hope Afghanistan sacrifices not in vain

In case you didn't notice all three question related directly to your statement in YOUR OP....you don't care to adress them...

WEAK.....FAIL.....

Again GD, they were based on lies and positions I have not put forth. Now unless you can link my praise of obama's predecessor for his handling of afghanistan I ask that you stop derailing my thread with your personal lack of self control....

I have always stated and thought that Iraq was not the right time do to Afghanistan, though once in I supported both operations fully.....

I will also support Obama's decision, once he makes one, whether I agree with it or not, as at least that way, our troops, know why they are taking fire....

What problem do you have with this position, specifically?

So you being a concerned vet chose too ignore all of this in Afghanistan until it became convienent to use the troops moral as a tool...AGAIN. Using that to attack President Obama. That is quite lame Rev and disgustingly disingenous.

Whatev man, I'm not going to respond anymore to your lies and trolling.....

Moderator's Warning:
Quit trolling. Now. Quit baiting. Now.

Nobody is trolling...I simply responded to your "CONCERNED VET" statement contained in your OP..

Your recent posting history speaks for itself...

Because it's Barry's show, that's why. I was listening to Dennis Miller the other night and he said that PBO has a sign on his desk that says, "The Buck Starts here".

That's your first mistake. Dennis Miller is almost as funny as Tom Delay.

Anyway, I can understand the sentiment in this article, it matches those I know in country, and its a shame.... They want to win, and I do to, but I simply don't trust this administration to have the backbone to do what is neccessary, and reluctantly hopes he pulls out....

What is winning? Defeating the Taliban, right? Should we invade Pakistan?

This story has some anecdotal stories here, but it follows the same thing I and many other veterans have been saying about Obama's fiddling while Afghanistan burns.... Troop moral is suffering, and I hate to read stories like this. Obama needs to make a decision now.

As a concerned military mom, I hope Obama takes all the time he needs to make the right decision.

Defeating the taliban? Not the biggest priority, I'd take beating the crap out of AQ, and going into pakistan if needed to root out obl and aq....

Personally, i could give a crap about the taliban at this point, so there, I kinda agree with the murmur of obamas plan to target AQ, I am concerned though on how he will prosecute it.

As a combat veteran, I can tell you sitting around waiting to get shot while your POTUS goes on leno, sucks.

I would imagine most combat vets would have preferred that we would have done the job correctly in the first place.

We all do. What's your point?

Like I said in multiple posts now, I was not happy the way bush handled Afghanistan.

That's true, but the first place has come and gone. It doesn't excuse being a **** up in the here and now.

I bet you wouldn't say that if your kid was already in country.

That's like a general, who just replaced a general who got relieved of his command saying, "well the guy I replaced was a **** up, that means that I can be a **** up, too".

Git real folks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Perhaps the right decision will be to pull them all out.
Obama has my support in taking all the time he needs to explore every angle of this issue, and decide upon the right course of action; hopefully, the one that will result in the fewest deaths- American and Afghan- ultimately: not just today, but in the coming weeks, years, and decades.

Clearly a new course of action is needed..the old course has proven itself to be a dismal failure...

Retreat is enver the right solution. It only means that we'll be going back in a few years, to start all over again, sustaining the same casualties, a second go 'round.

It's already been said, I have nothing to add to you.

I disagree slightly, unfortunatly, given this presidents penchant for indecisiveness, it would be best, I am beginning to think to withdraw and deal with it at a later time when we have a president with a backbone...

That would certainly make the 2012 race entertaining.

Bush left office 9 months ago.

Obama and his supporters need to ween themselves off the Bush as a Pacifier trick and start ya know.. doing something.

i did i gave up my citizenship and left the country. that was the solution for me.
