Interracial couple denied marriage license in La.

could you possibly back this up with facts:

Black men only marry white women for status symbols or upward mobility and usually the black husbands or boyfriends end up killing the white spouses when the relationships go bad.

or anything else in your post? thanks.

Who are you directing this post to, is that a quote and if so who said it?

Unless they have a documented disability or smiler, yes.

Jerry, i am very disappointed in you..... Are you even aware of what unemployment is?

No doubt you'll be relating this to the topic title soon.

If you want to debate the issue please let me know :2wave:

Don't make ridiculous statements and i will not reply to them:2wave:

I made a statement and stand by it. I believe the Justice of the Peace should be left alone and support his decision. He is doing the right thing. He has the right to deny this marriage license. This is America. He has the freedom of speech and expression of his views.

PS he did not deny the marriage license, they already had one. He refused to marry them. Instead he gave them the name and number of a justice who would do it. They are married now.

Explain to me when you last addressed the topic.

I contributed to discussing the topic multiple times, which is much more than i can say about you. In fact, anyone can say that about you in any thread.

But i am still waiting, what did socialism and libs have to do with this topic (since you decided to bring **** up)?

Personal responsibility is such a drag ;)

Due to decreased standard of living being primarily driven by unemployment, i do not see how you can state people have a chose to be unemployed (again, you are going to have to revisit the meaning of unemployment).

Now you could logically state poor people who do not seek employment are irresponsible, but that does not constitute unemployment.

WTF does unemployment have to do with interracial marriage?

For being pro-choice they sure don't support the choice of some to be poor or the choice for others to succeed.

Oh thats rich; the majority of the worlds poor choose to be.

Maybe you can answer what people choosing to be poor has to do with the topic as well?

Are they working, paying taxes and supporting their families? Yes or no? Playing word games doesn't change the fact that too many people are riding in the wagon and won't get out and help pull.

Now, back to the couple.....does the justice of the peace have a duty to marry them?

does the justice of the peace have a duty to marry them?

If he is a state payed employee, yes he does have a duty to marry them. If not, then it is his choice, just like it is the choice of people not to go to him anymore.

Where does it say that?

Children, students, retiree's, housewifes, etc... do not have jobs. Given that low standards of living, poverty, are driven by unemployment, his statement was ****ty.

Now, back to the couple.....does the justice of the peace have a duty to marry them?

This has been established quite a long time ago. Anyone who supports the JoP's logic is supporting racism.

Now, back to the couple.....does the justice of the peace have a duty to marry them?

What are the requisites to get married?

Do married couples need to have children? No.
Do married couples need to be of the same ethnicity? No.

So why is the judge denying the marriage licensed?
