Sharpton, Jackson Attack Limbaugh's Rams Bid

She doesn't know, she's just parroting her talking points.

It happened on his top 40 show many many years ago, he often spoke about how he regretted saying it....
i don't know what? my feelings about limbaugh? i believe he's racist, you don't. what "talking point" am i parroting?

Yet, you support the most racist political party ever to inhabit the U.S.

Today's Democrats have done more to hurt African-Americans than the Ku Klux Klan. They condescendingly and repeatedly reinforce the notion that blacks in America are inferior and in capable of accomplishing anything without the Democrats legally lowering the bar at every turn.

Actually, there are MANY black Americans that support Rush and his views. That's the dirty little secret in all of this that Democrats conveniently ignore.
really? what is your claim based on?

really? what is your claim based on?

You know exactly. It's been rehashed time and again.

Affirmative Action is racist. It presumes that black students can't hang with white students unless they are held to lesser qualifying standards. This is devisive, and it's a liberal policy.

Welfare has ruined the black community. It rewards having kids out of wedlock and encourages financial dependence on the government. It is the largest reason that 4 out of 5 black babies are born without a father listed on the birth certificate. It has made living off the government the norm, rather than the exception. This is devisive, and it's a liberal policy.

Virtually every bit of power and leverage has been taken away from teachers and school administrators. Instead of putting the onus on the students and parents, they continue to enact legistlation that makes excuses for students and reward their irresponsibility and bad behavior. Teachers are at the mercy of their students in the inner cities. Remember when parents used to be arrested if their kids didn't go to class? This is divisive, and it's a liberal policy.

Democrats are at the root of hypocritical political correctness. Jesse Jackson can say anything he wants about anybody without fear of repercussions, whereas a white man better not refer to the coffee as "black". This is divisive, and was created by liberals.

We could go on and on and on, but the divisiveness of TODAY is Democratic party driven. It's big business for the DNC, and without it, they'd wither away. They know this, and they're not about to let their best playing card be taken away from them.

People are so used to thinking in mutually exclusive dichotomies that all too few realize that Sharpton and Jackson being racist does not preclude Limbaugh from being one and visa versa.

Let Limbaugh exercize his free speech, let him buy into the club, and then if his racism affects the club negatively, then what better way to illustrate the REAL notion of free speech, which is that free speech does not guarantee there will be no negative consequences for such.

affirmative action has allowed black students entry to school, where they then sink or swim according to their ability. my argument against affirmative action has always been that it should be based on economics. poor children do not attend the same schools as wealthier children and do not have the same learning opportunities. it's that simple.

as for welfare, the system could be improved, i agree.

your claim that liberals have done more to harm blacks than the kkk is ludicrous.

This is devisive, and it's a liberal policy.

And a policy that conservatives have not tried to get rid of. So what does that say about conservatives and Affirmative Action? Oh yeah, most support it.

As far as Rush being a racist, that is quite a normative statement in regards to him being unfit to own an NFL franchise.

Hyper partisan democrats have created this beast called Limbaugh. He is just the balancing equilibrium of the dem/rep equation. Instead of the blanket racist comments, why has his opposition neglected to list the reasons he would be a "bad owner".

your claim that liberals have done more to harm blacks than the kkk is ludicrous.

Not really. The KKK was a deranged group of insecure, worthless terrorists that were at least open about their evil intentions.

What Democrats have done is more insidious. They've gotten minorities to drink the tinged Kool-Aid and marketed it as "good for them" in exchange for blind loyalty and voting support. Maintaining a general lack of education has kept the charade going.

just as i don't care what rush thinks, i don't care what olbermann thinks. i am not disputing his right to be an owner, if the other owners see fit, btw, i just think the man is a racist blowhard. my OPINION.

No offense, but that seems like quite a convenient opinion.

This is not true. While it's the accepted norm, there are other schools of thought that don't follow this....

But so much for that liberal compassion.

There may be other schools of thought, however the predominant view in the professional community is that drug addiction is a life long battle.

As for "liberal compassion"...I have compassion for all addicts. I don't select my compassion based on drugs that I find acceptable v. those I do not.

Drug addiction is a disease and just as I pray for those who are battling other diseases, I pray for all those battling drug addiction.

Hypocrisy is another issue.

Have you seen the BCS?

Yes...I would agree. The BCS is a mess and should be abolished. However, that said....the NFL is in a league of its own when it comes to corporate greed ruining the game.

I've heard the addage too, and in general I think its correct. Its wonderful to know that you think despite attempst to stop using drugs people should still be called addicts or druggies.

So, hows the Cokehead in Chief doing?

GWB is no longer in office. :doh

ok...cheap shot. I don't believe GWB was ever an addict. I think he probably was just a recreational user.

Ah, that makes sense. That's why naturally you get so angry with people that uncompassionately call Limbaugh a "Drug addict" or "drug addicted [insert negative adjective here]" rather than "hypocrite".

I think the two are similar. Early in the college season, it's a bit less corporate. But by the end, it's overtaken the NFL; so I think they're comparable. I wish they'd get rid of a lot of commercials during the games and such. And the Super Bowl Halftime show...that has to go away.

The reality with Limbaugh is that he showed no compassion to other drug-addicts and in fact said that they should all go to prison....all the time he was a drug addict himself.
Its like all of the congressmen that rail against homosexuality, all the while they are engaged in the same conduct that they decry in public.

I agree with you on one level. The whole Bowl system is based on nothing other than money. However, it is a little different that the NFL because you don't have the same level of owner greed and taxpayer intimidation that you see in the NFL....

I agree with you on the halftime show though.

So naturally we should be calling all those congressmen "queers" then to go along with calling limbaugh "Drug addict", since apparently the way to highlight someones hypocracy according to you and others it seems is to ridicule them for the thing we're supposed to show compassion/understanding for and not actually ridiculing them for the thing the trait that is actually wrong.

.....right, gotcha, makes TOTAL compassionate sense.

Instead you have school greed where the student athletes are essentially treated like pieces of meat. The NCAA takes in billions of dollars, paying coaches millions each year, and the student athletes are spoon fed throughout their academic careers. What happens if one of these high profile recruits suffers a career ending injury their sophomore year? Not only do they lose their scholarship, but it then becomes extremely difficult to compete academically without the aid of their athletic ability.

He is your partisan reciprocal, only on the grand stage.

I'm all for "outing" the hypocrites.

I believe very much in the Malcolm X mantra....I will show compassion to those who are compassionate towards me and disdain towards those who show disdain towards me.

In other words....I am a true believer in Karma.
