American troops in Afghanistan losing heart, say army chaplains

Well, I think others can also be helped by this, so:
What is IO, EWO, CIB, CAB, and TAC-P?

Really.
One thing I'm noticing about the army: everything's a damned initialism or an acronym.

IO: information operations
EWO: electronic warfare officer
CIB: combat infantryman's badge
CAB: combat action badge
TAC-P: Tactical Air Control Party...air force

Really.

we get sooooo much more communicating done that way

You righties motives are so clear...If he does it to quickly you will attack him. If he takes too long you will attack him.

You people don't think the nation sees your motives here?

If he withdraws, and I have repeatedly said this so I don't get why you keep bloviating this nonsense, I would disagree with the decision, but I would be happy that he made a choice that reduces the jeapoardy he has them in now, sitting around while he fiddles.

In fact, I would almost prefer he withdraws them as I don't think he is capable of prosecuting a war.

I hope he withdraws them too, unless they can come up with a realistic evaluation of the situation and a strategy for prosecuting the war. If he can come up with those things, I think he should. He should take as long as he needs to figure it out. The troops are doing the same things they did last month.

I only wish he would listen to the unconventional viewpoint of Gen Petraeus. I read recently that he had been sidelined. If Obama is listening to the same old big armor generals that got us into trouble in Iraq, then let's get out.

Not only is communicating easier, but if someone is listening in they won't know what you're talking about, right away and by the time they figure it out, it may be too late for them to react.
