Please demonstrate that the Olympics is more important to Obama than Afghanistan. You cannot do it since neither of us know what his personal priorities are. We can say that Obama has spent more time on Afghanistan than the Olympics though, which would be one good indicator.

general Mac was involved in teleconferencing calls just recently. Though I will say that it does appear to be a reaction from the Sunday talk vents. And appearances can be worse than actuality.

Perhaps a review on what games to enter into....when it's appropriate to even pick the dice up. Perhaps at the table with Iran....or discussing Pakistan nukes...or contemplating McChrystal's troop requests, America will understand and reason a dice roll.

The worst that happens here Sir, is that an absolute corrupt entity such as the IOC just b-slapped a US President and his wife and Oprah on an international level. And the best thing that could happen is the President rid himself of the idiots like Axlerod and these advisors from Chicago that keep making colossal political errors. It's affecting the integrity of the office, not just Obama, THAT'S the worst of it, can you not see this?

I have to agree that one the advice was bad to go and I am repeating myself but t I felt that is was not that doignified for a POTUS to appear in front of the IOC and to display at least the appearance of groveling.

I think that all it proves is that the Chicago mob could not fix the election.

Seriously I was against his going but some of the same detractors would have said that if he did not do that it proves he was not born in America since she wouldn't even support America in getting the Olympics.

Part 2... no.

A video of enthusiastic support devoid of his self aggrandizing drivel probably would have been far more effective, and more in line with the actions of a US President.

Of course, "He is the one we have been waiting for".
And it seems he believes it.
Then bringing Oprah!?
What goes through the minds of these folks?

This exhibition of environmental sensitivity revealed one additional bit about Obama for those who have failed to grasp it by now.
He only has one gear.
He gave the speech as if he was on the rubber chicken tour.
All about him, all about him, all about him, and with that stench of "I am the one you have been waiting for" arrogance polluting the room.
Once he gets in front of The Teleprompter, all we see is the underside of his chin, his nostrils, and his head bobbing back and forth from teleprompter screen to teleprompter screen like Stevie Wonder.

We cannot help it that he is out of his league and makes T-baller errors.

It seems many IOC voters were as nauseated as many Americans by Obama's supposed "star power".

I love the fact he stuck his neck out, and the press stretched it to the max.
It was an unforced error of international proportions.
