Elementary School Students Taught to Sing Praises of President Obama

I can just imagine an Elementary School teacher thinking to his/herself... "You know, I really want to lose my job. Why not get onto the news while I'm at it?"

Or, more likely, they're really really ****ing stupid.

A teacher finding an excuse to lose their job, when so many teachers are being laid off? This teacher must be feeling financially over-secure. ;)

Mm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama

He said that all must lend a hand
To make this country strong again
Mmm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama

He said we must be fair today
Equal work means equal pay
Mmm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama

He said that we must take a stand
To make sure everyone gets a chance
Mmm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama

He said red, yellow, black or white
All are equal in his sight
Mmm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama

Yes!
Mmm, mmm, mm
Barack Hussein Obama

Song 2:
Hello, Mr. President we honor you today!
For all your great accomplishments, we all doth say "hooray!"

Hooray, Mr. President! You're number one!
The first black American to lead this great nation!

Hooray, Mr. President we honor your great plans
To make this country's economy number one again!

Hooray Mr. President, we're really proud of you!
And we stand for all Americans under the great Red, White, and Blue!

So continue ---- Mr. President we know you'll do the trick
So here's a hearty hip-hooray ----

Hip, hip hooray!
Hip, hip hooray!
Hip, hip hooray!

I demand that all parties involved be immediately terminated. This is indoctrination, this is America not ****ing Nazi Germany or North Korea.

I agree, the guilty parties should be fired. Public schools should be as political neutral as possible.

I guess that's her way of saying "I agree" but who knows. :)

He said that thou shall not kill
He even gave sermon up on a hill.
Mmm, mmm, mm!
Lord Barack Hussein Obama

Interesting take. I disagree with it, but interesting nonetheless.

Look, love him or hate him but the man is this nation's first black president. I don't think anyone should be fired over celebrating that accomplishment. This only looks bad because the songs were discovered in the wake of the President's openning day speech to school children. There's nothing sinister about this song. The lyrics are cheesy, but I find nothing harmful or "indoctrinatory" about it.

lmfao are you ****ing kidding me? Are you nuts?

"He said we must be fair today
Equal work means equal pay"

"He said red, yellow, black or white
All are equal in his sight"

"Hooray, Mr. President! You're number one!"

"So continue ---- Mr. President we know you'll do the trick
So here's a hearty hip-hooray ----"

etc etc

It doesn't get anymore indoctrinating than that, in fact that second verse comes straight out of "Jesus loves the little Children", the second song was sung to the tune of the Battle Hymn of the Republic for Christs sakes.

I mean, the words don't proclaim him to be master of the universe or make such statements as ushering in a new world order. It simply speaks of being proud of this nation and of its president. Nothing more, nothing less.

I understand sir you believe political indoctrination and the hero worship of a sitting president is acceptable practice at the elementary school level. To me that's just the sickest thing I could possibly imagine. This teacher is trying to raise Obama youth. Seig Heil sir.

I noticed that, too, Pete ....

In April 2006, 100 young children from Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama were trotted out to the White House to sing a song of praise for all the wonderful things President Bush and FEMA did during the Katrina crisis:

Our country’s stood beside us
People have sent us aid.
Katrina could not stop us, our hopes will never fade.
Congress, Bush and FEMA
People across our land
Together have come to rebuild us and we join them hand-in-hand!

So it's ok if the children are bused to the white house to sing praises then? Good to know you won't have ANY problem with that then.

The only hack here is you and your constant hyper-partisan BS you sling around like a chimp throwing his feces.

It's ok to you to sing praises to Bush as long as it is a Republican. Go sell your partisan BS elsewhere.

It praised Bush, you just can't take off your partisan blinders as usual. Oh I forgot you used to work at the pentagon too, yeah right. :2wave:

Who was it that was bussing them around, the school or some other organization? There is a huge difference. If the school did it, I would consider it highly inappropriate. If it was not them, then it is hardly any of my concern.

Here’s a Fox News video.

It was February, a month after the first African American in this countries history was elected President much to the chagrin of many.

Not only was this a celebration of Obama being the first African American President, it was one video, of an eight video skit taken in February, which also celebrated Abraham Lincolns birthday, as well as Valentines Day, Groundhog Day, ect, ect.

According to this “Fox News video” the lyrics were sent home prior to the assembly, no parents objected to them.

No parents have come forth objecting, even after the “Fox News” induced ****storm, So how were the lyrics forced on the children?

While your looking at the Fox video notice they have the words the children are singing crawling across the screen.

I would be interested which ones seem to be objectionable to anyone here.

Would you object this part“ make this country strong’ again”?

Perhaps this is the one you find objectionable. “equal work for equal pay”.

If not those two, maybe it was this one that struck a nerve.
“to make sure everyone gets a chance be they red, white ,or black”.

Wrong very is a report from a NJ New's Outlet saying that the parent weren't informed of the words and none of them have signed any consent form to allow there Children to be filmed.

They are all objectionable because they imply that the president will "make this country strong again", forces kids to say such, and thus pushes a political opinion.

The whole thing reads like a campaign ad. Not the kind of thing I'd want in a public school.

Read through the thread and I think you'll find you're one of the very few who don't find this objectionable.
