7 ex CIA Chiefs Ask Obama to Drop AG's Probe

who's twisting, i pushed the "quote" button

you said "obama is going about this wrong"

remember?

i've never even been on fox

???

You pushed the quote button and deleted almost the entirety of my post. I more like what Obama is doing then us prosecuting noone. I just think that a third option (prosecute top brass, and set up Truth and Reconciliation Commission for lower brass) would be better.

sure, sure...

but, as you so astutely note, he IS going about things wrong

If no U.S. laws were broken or treaties violated the probe will exonerate them. If not, they broke the law & should be penalized.
I'm as patriotic as the next guy but don't buy into "My Country Right Or Wrong."
We are Americans .....& that should stand for something.

I am continually fascinated at the willful attempts to avoid the FACTS of this whole partisan political issue. Once again for those of you with some form of reading dyslexia:

The incidents were referred by the CIA inspector general to the Justice Department during the Bush administration, but Justice officials at the time prosecuted only one case.

"If criminal investigations closed by career prosecutors during one administration can so easily be reopened at the direction of political appointees in the next, declinations of prosecution will be rendered meaningless," wrote the former directors.

Once again, what we have here is an Administration that lied to the American people and rather than bring us all together, continues to impugn their political opponents and engage in hyper partisan political tactics that will do nothing to bring us together but rather increase the vast chasm of incivility we now seeing on the increase.

CLUE: there is nothing to investigate because it has already been investigated; this is nothing more than second guessing that which has already been adjudicated by a previous administration in an attempt to impugn the political opposition in the court of public opinion for purely partisan purposes.

Even seven former CIA Chiefs won't elevate this debate to a reasonable conclusion; the Democrats are driven to destroy what little credibility politicians have with the American public and denigrate the political climate to that of a third world regime.

I think Obama is going about this wrong, he should firstly prosecute the men who gave the orders for the torture to be carried out, then he should set up a Truth and Reconcilliation commision for those who were just following orders.

First off, I am amused by the assertion that a current administration should re-define what torture means in an effort to prosecute and imprison the previous leaders of the opposition party as being somehow a logical conclusion.

For those who don't know what a Truth and Reconcilliation commision is, look into what happened in South Africa after the Aparthied ended. They brought justice the right way. Obama should follow their example.

:rofl This is truly amusing; we have seen how well this worked for South Africans haven't we?

But the failure of the SA "black" revolution against "white" apartheid aside, what part of a Government that tortures its own citizens and treating them as second class citizens and attempting to save lives by condoning specific interrogation tactics to get information from terrorists do you still NOT comprehend.

I am constantly amused by the Liberals and Democrats child like notions that can be summed up as a "one size fits all" mentality. Isn't time to grow up?

Argue against the issue's he raised...not the issuer.

Here's his 35 impeachment articles:

http://kucinich.us/impeachment/articles.pdf

I watched the politically charged laughable Kangaroo hearings led by Conyers and can only shake my head that anyone could take such wild-eyed absurdity seriously.

Again, the leftists and Democrats reek of hypocrisy when they emotional rail about the criticisms of Obama while continuing their asinine attacks on the Bush Administration making such farcical assertions which have no basis in reality, the facts or the truth.

I watched the laughable hearings conducted by Conyers and the rabid lunatic assertions of those on the fringe with their blind misplaced hatred of Bush, and with a vast majority in BOTH houses of Congress saw that NOTHING resulted from these hearings...not ONE charge was leveled.

Now anyone with a modicum of intelligence would be asking themselves why this is? Could it be that they lacked substance, facts and credibility even among the Democrat opposition?

This is nothing more than making a mockery of our political processes and doing nothing to elevate our nations stature in the world or engender the citizens of this nation confidence that these people are anything more than unintelligent lemmings running about spending our money they don't have in an effort to pander to ignorant voters promoting the absurd notion that one can get something for nothing as long as they vote for them.

For Witch hunts absolutely a waste........To protect our system of government from abuses?.....Money well spent.

Efforts to investigate Liberals and Democrats = "political Witch hunt."

Efforts to investigate Republicans = "protect our system of Government."

:rofl Got hypocrisy?

On one hand, a blowjob, on the other, torturing of US detainees. I can see how they are identical.

I am continually amused by Liberals who attempt to downplay what Clinton did and his subsequent impeachment as being over a blow job. It is almost as inane as the notion that a married sitting President is not engaging in a form of harassment and exercising extremely poor judgment when he has sex with an young employee. Not to mention the FACT that his impeachment and subsequent disbarment was due to his outright LYING under OATH.

I am stunned at the continued and desperate efforts of those who defend such poor judgement and behavior.

You just cannot fabricate the level of denial and hypocrisy it takes to be a Democrat these days.
