Publicist: Patrick Swayze dies at 57 - Yahoo! News

Patrick Swayze, the hunky actor who danced his way into viewers' hearts with "Dirty Dancing" and then broke them with "Ghost," died Monday after a battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 57.

"Patrick Swayze passed away peacefully today with family at his side after facing the challenges of his illness for the last 20 months," said a statement released Monday evening by his publicist, Annett Wolf. No other details were given.

RIP Mr. Swayze, :(

Poor guy they're doing a red dawn remake. He will be missed

I know that he will always be known for "Dirty Dancing" and "Ghost", but I prefer to remember him for "Roadhouse".

On a personal note, I watched a close friend die from pancreatic cancer. Fortunately, he went quick. Swayze survived for a long time after being diagnosed with it, but he was diagnosed much earlier than my friend was. I applaud him for fighting it and in the manner in which he did. He continued to work to the very end. We all knew this was coming, but it's still a shock that it's actually happened. RIP Patrick and my condolences to your family.

"NOBODY TOUCHES BABY"

I thought the line was "nobody puts baby in a corner"

:( .... RIP, Patrick Swayze

He was possibly the sexiest drag queen in hollywood. :(

We watched a movie of his last night, Black Dog. I always thought he was a great actor. RIP PatricK.

Great, now the Vatican, the Bahá'í Faith, the Buddhist mafia, and the church of Scientology get to fight over who gets to deliver last rites.

(I'm being twisted because Dirty Dancing misrepresented Objectivism with the Robby Gould character.)

R.I.P. Patrick.

I recall the SNL skit with Chris Farley where they both were auditioning to be Chippendale dancers.

Well, that's a shame. Enjoyed some of his movies, and 57 is too young to go imo.

RIP

He fought communists in Red Dawn. RIP
