White House on Health Care and Illegals

Very childish post. "3. Obama always loses." What the hell is that supposed to mean??

Wilson is now poling equally with his challenger Rob Miller.

LOLOLOL

what's "obama always loses" sposed to mean?

it means, "obama always loses"

public option, cap and trade, reaching out to iran, blaming bush, closing gitmo, investigating "torture," prosecuting cheney, paygo, clunkers, stimuli, cars takeovers, bailouts and bonuses, afghanistan, van jones, cass sunstein, john holden, harold koh, addressing school kids, ending rendition, ending detention, ending the patriot act, ending don't ask don't tell, ending earmarks, putting legislation online, hiring lobbyists and tax cheats, public finance, taxing medical benefits, fining the uninsured, taxing those under 250, cutting the deficit in half, deficits at 12.65% of gdp...

all political losers

LOL's, indeed

nothing remains within the restricted reach of the Already Irrelevant

except maybe minimum wage or simplifying the tax code

biggest, fastest loser in american history

Playing a game of semantics makes your statement intellectually dishonest at best.

Maybe, but in the context of the post I was responding to it was quite appropriate. :crazy3:

I was talking about a Healthcare Bill. Obama hasn’t signed a healthcare bill yet,... so it’s a healthcare Proposal that has not yet been signed into law. Hence the term…bogus. :2wave:

Your term is bogus.

I can easily find hundreds of video clips of U.S. Legislators referring to as yet unsigned legislation as a "bill".

Do you think you know the terminology better than legislators ?

I said at best, so no it was not appropriate.

Either way it does not change the fact Obama was lying.

Meh…show me a few that has “healthcare bill” in it, most of the time they refer to a specific number such as H.R.3200, or whatever number they are talking about. :2wave:

Split another hair. Maybe add another word in to try to be right.

. . . Ooops, no time machine for you !

Where's that original quote again ?

Its not a bill yet, your statement is bogus.

Oh, right there it is.

Don't be too broke up about this, this is the interwebs and sometimes ya get pwned.

And no, Obama wasn’t lying…remember he is a Harvard trained attorney.

Fell off the wagon again did ya?

Again, it’s not a bill until the President signs it; until then it’s a proposed bill, often to referred by the HC number.

Everything that we are discussing is pure speculation, the final bill will most likely have some of what the wingers want, not a whole lot but maybe if they behave a bone or two.

More than likely it will have some form of Trigger mechanism in it that will most likely be going off prior to the 2012 elections. Not what I would like but it will be called healthcare reform and it will be signed into law with a lot of wailing and gnashing of teeth by the wingers and their assorted clones.

When it is signed it will be called “OBAMAS HEALTHCARE BILL” or there also the possibility it will be called the “KENNEDY HEALTCARE BILL”. Until then it is not a BILL it’s a proposed bill or a HC number.

I hardly want to get involved in this discussion, since it's pretty apparent you're stuck on the belief you're correct... but...

SchoolhouseRock - I'm Just a Bill

I'm just a bill.
Yes, I'm only a bill.
And I'm sitting here on Capitol Hill.
Well, it's a long, long journey
To the capital city.
It's a long, long wait
While I'm sitting in committee,
But I know I'll be a law someday
At least I hope and pray that I will,
But today I am still just a bill.

Boy: Gee, Bill, you certainly have a lot of patience and courage.

Bill: Well I got this far. When I started, I wasn't even a bill, I was just an idea. Some folks back home decided they wanted a law passed, so they called their local Congressman and he said, "You're right, there oughta be a law." Then he sat down and wrote me out and introduced me to Congress. And I became a bill, and I'll remain a bill until they decide to make me a law.

I'm just a bill
Yes I'm only a bill,
And I got as far as Capitol Hill.
Well, now I'm stuck in committee
And I'll sit here and wait
While a few key Congressmen discuss and debate
Whether they should let me be a law.
How I hope and pray that they will,
But today I am still just a bill.

Boy: Listen to those congressmen arguing! Is all that discussion and debate about you?

Bill: Yeah, I'm one of the lucky ones. Most bills never even get this far. I hope they decide to report on me favourably, otherwise I may die.

Boy: Die?

Bill: Yeah, die in committee. Oooh, but it looks like I'm gonna live! Now I go to the House of Representatives, and they vote on me.

Boy: If they vote yes, what happens?

Bill: Then I go to the Senate and the whole thing starts all over again.

Boy: Oh no!

Bill: Oh yes!

I'm just a bill
Yes, I'm only a bill
And if they vote for me on Capitol Hill
Well, then I'm off to the White House
Where I'll wait in a line
With a lot of other bills
For the president to sign
And if he signs me, then I'll be a law.
How I hope and pray that he will,
But today I am still just a bill.

Boy: You mean even if the whole Congress says you should be a law, the president can still say no?

Bill: Yes, that's called a veto. If the President vetoes me, I have to go back to Congress and they vote on me again, and by that time you're so old...

Boy: By that time it's very unlikely that you'll become a law. It's not easy to become a law, is it?

Bill: No!

But how I hope and I pray that I will,
But today I am still just a bill.

Congressman: He signed you, Bill! Now you're a law!

Bill: Oh yes!!!

And no, Obama wasn’t lying…remember he is a Harvard trained attorney.

So he is a trained liar, so what?

You had better grt a better spellchecker its lawyer not liar.;)

"its" is possessive

4th grade

drive safely, don

keep your eyes on the road

and good luck with the "OBAMAS HEALTHCARE BILL"

I know exactly what I said. He is a trained liar, period. As for your joke, ha ha.

Oh, trying to add in a new word again ?

Your second attempt to insert a word after the fact is a bogus as the first time you tried it.

Wow, now you get pwned two days in a row.

The interwebs is ruff.

I will make my own list and I will keep it short.

1. Learn how to use proper sentence structure.

Attack the message or shut the **** up.

I don't see any problem with undocumented residents obtaining care.

Regardless of what anyone thinks, these people are here to stay. No, they're not getting deported, kicked out, or worse.

It makes financial sense to cover them.

If one doesn't, the cost to cover them in emergency room visits, in the long run, will outweigh the short time percevied savings.

Good.... open a trust account for them, out of your pocket, not mine.

Democrats have always been wusses. Thats nothing new.

Either way, not providing those residents with health care is an absolutely stupid and financially irreponsible decision.

No foresight whatsoever, and is an example of ideology trumping practicalities.

Residents??????? They are criminals.(you know, illegal aliens?)

link, please

Post #43 this thread.

(and that was BEFORE some TWO MILLION patriots marched on downtown, perhaps the biggest crowd in dc history)

WH on health care, illegal immigrants - First Read - msnbc.com

1. How do you spell S-U-R-R-E-N-D-E-R?

2. If there was NO ISSUE, why the CHANGE?

3. The CHANGE was signaled to anyone with EARS when the president on Wednesday nite radically, stunningly (how could you MISS it?) altered his nomenclature from 47 million AMERICANS currently uncovered, his mantra for months, to a sudden 30 million CITIZENS in need of expanded insurance.

4. So, who's the exact LIAR, Mr Wilson?

5. Meanwhile, Pelosi takes steps to CENSURE South Carolina Joe, while shielding and protecting Ways and Means (the most powerful committee in Washington) Chairman Rangel, the most corrupt man in America.

6. Now, them's some pretty CHEAP politics, Ms P.

7. Problem is, no one TRUSTS this president.

8. When he says he's gonna VERIFY citizenship...

9. Problem is, he keeps MAKING UP all this CRAP as he limps along.

10. Problem is, he, by changing his mind and course literally every day, telegraphs to the whole world, INCLUDING HIS OWN SUPPORTERS, both at large and within congress, he doesn't know what he's doing.

11. And he's always constantly so extremely ON THE DEFENSIVE.

12. Leaders must be FORWARD leaning.

13. This guy DANCES.

14. And he's no Michael Jackson.

15. Americans in the know want E-VERIFY, a program of proven provenance.

16. Unfortunately, Ways and Means' Rangel shot it down, known as the Heller Amendment, on July 17.

17. If his address to Congress was a success, why the need for clarification?

18. The more he talks, the more muddled up everything becomes.

19. Palin defeated the president over Death Panels (LOL!) in a span of 3 days, Beck beat Obama's butt over Van Jones in 5.

20. And now unknown Joe Wilson in 48 hours forces the White House to wave white flag.

21. And MSNBC(!) is the nonplussed source.

22. We are all witnessing the most incompetent politician at the national level our beloved nation has ever produced, who is absolutely destroying his party.

23. Adult dems will NOT follow this idiot over the edge.

24. Even his "clarifications" confuse---folks in the Exchange, he says, must prove citizenship, while those operating outside can...

25. Too vaguely conceived, too improvised, too straining of credibility.

26. He admits his public option carrying Exchange will "shrink" the "private market."

from 14th and E to the capitol is just under a mile

the above photo, which is but a snapshot in time, pictures more than half a mil

that's at least half a dozen invesco fields depicted above

and the crowd doesn't end here, there's clearly more patriots behind the camera, farther up E

the corner of 14th and E was photographed all day as crowds filed thru

fox has shown the extremely impressive time lapses as hundreds of thousands wended their way thru during the course of the afternoon

this is in addition to the hundreds of thousands of patriots at the mall

you're looking at the greatest crowd in dc history

never has the capital seen a turnout shoulder to shoulder a mile down pennsylvania ave

hr3200 is a BILL

the BILL possess supremely problematical provisions, such as:

fines

forcing individuals to purchase coverage they can't afford in the first place

cuts to medicare and medicaid

no enforcement against illegals

the public funding of abortion

taxes on small biz

taxes on high earners

taxes on benefit packages

a budget-breaking upward bending of the cost curve, according to elmendorf

and more

in addition, ms mccaskil and mr cardin, et al, i guarantee you, are frighteningly aware of how many americans turned out to protest what's going on in washington

health care is dead

"its" is possessive, 4th grade standard, CA public schools curriculum

drive safely
