Finger bitten off during California health protest

To be fair the guy was running at him screaming and invaded his personal space. I can understand his natural reaction.

Even if he gets in his face that's no justification for assault. Using the same logic the guy who bit his pinky off was justified because the other guy had his fingers in the guy's mouth

And what was the point of posting in irish? You have reverend in your name should I go about speaking in rhyme and give you sermons in topics? You know what they say about people who make assumptions.. A month ago? That was like 2 weeks ago. I just think it was funny when you couldn't make an argument you went off in another language.

Oh if I were you I'd accuse you of slander but then again I know what the word means. Okay I finally got around to watching the videos but what was it you wanted me to see? I saw one video where people weren't from the district showed up. They shouldn't have been there that was wrong of them. Many people in the New Jersey town hall were from New York and shouldn't have been there either they were wrong.

The other video it's hard to tell whats going on I see the guy in the green shirt being thrown out. Okay it was wrong for them to throw him out they should have had the police officer throw out the interrupters.

Wow look I condemned people now where's your condemnation of the people shouting people down without having a reason for doing it? *crickets*

Lets see, still throwing a tantrum over my Irish.... Check...

Passing dismissive acknoledgment on your side acting out of line.... Check...

Note something here. you put different effort in your complaining. depending on which side of the aisle you are on. Selective?

Lets see, still throwing a tantrum over my Irish.... Check...

Still trolling again rev? Your justification for speaking irish is just as stupid as if I was to speak to you like we're in a sermon. check

Passing dismissive acknoledgment on your side acting out of line.... Check...

My side? Which side am I on again since you seem to know more than everyone else. I'm not apart of any union so I'm not on the side of the unions but I didn't see much to bitch about in the videos you posted. I admitted that some of the things they did were wrong. See that's the problem I can admit both sides are wrong, you can't because you're too busy with your hackery and selective outrage.

Different complaining? Now you're just all over the map again Rev. You have people shouting down everyone regardless of the side they're on then you have people throwing out the people who refuse to engage in a debate and are disrupting the event. There's nothing selective about it you have people who aren't there to have a discussion but instead shout down everyone even people on their own side. I know this is tough for you to understand stifling debate is undemocratic

Note something here. you put different effort in your complaining. depending on which side of the aisle you are on. Selective?[/QUOTE]

Meh, I don't know why you insist on boring the Good Reverend with this fit of yours. But I am losing interest fast.... ***yawn***

I don't know why you insist on being a troll in every topic rev but the act is getting old fast, either debate the subject or find a hobby

You are trolling rev thus far I haven't seen you address an actual thread anymore than a few replies you then get off subject as evidenced here and in the other thread. Would you like to debate the actual topic now or continue with this childishness?

Ironic, no? look at your posts....

Ironic, no? look at your posts....

Do you know what Ironic means? Most people misuse the word without applying its original intent. Yeah look at my posts the fair majority of them are on the actual subject except when I have to respond to you derailing a thread.

Act your age not your shoe size rev. We're both adults here its time you start acting like one. Debate the topic or stop trolling its that simple

wait, is that irony?

Seriously, what you don't get is you are taking this very very seriously, falsey making baseless dishonest accusations against me and constantly crying about me speaking irish to you once....

Its a pathetic display.. Really. You seem like an intelligent feller. Why do you feel the need to act slighted over every post I make?

Look who I talk to, I get along with everyone but 2-3 people here...... PErhaps the problem is not the Greatness that is the good reverend...

Again you don't understand the word irony. I'm not making baseless accusations. Instead of talking about the subject you made this about me so once again you are trolling. You did it in the other subject as well. You keep derailing threads that sir makes you a troll.

Actually you spoke Irish twice but then again I never expected you to be accurate.

The problem is you refuse to discuss the actual subject and instead try to make it about the poster. Again I ask you when are you going to get back to debating the subject this is like the 3rd time I've asked you and still you insist on derailing the thread, your own thread at that. Come on Rev be an adult and stop this immature game. Debate the subject

***sigh***

I tried...

Sure let me know when you try to debate the subject instead of troll then you'll have something there

have you noticed, you have been talking about me for numerous posts now, calling me a troll, and basically having a hissy fit....

is that "irony"?

How about you explain how this would be irony instead of just claiming everything is irony? At least it will give us something to debate about since you refuse to debate your own subject. Hissy fit? Come now this is just text there is no emotion in text. So still not going to debate eh?

Uh oh... With all the left wing threads recently about shouting down a wheelchair bound woman at a town hall meeting. I am curious as to thier position of one of thier own, biting off the finger of an town hall protester?

Anyway, back to my thread.... If you notice, there is an unequal expression of outrage for certain characters in this debate, than there are for the opposition.....

We have been called "tea-baggers", "unAmerican", and what not....

But when the other side, uses union thugs, physical violence, do we see the same usual suspects so outraged they start a thread on it?

Nope.

The outrage is selective and political. Do they really think they are not transparent?

I didn't see much from your videos one had people who shouldn't have been there and then a guy getting removed its hard to tell from your video if he was actually assaulted. Do you have a better angle? Again the union guys were just as wrong as the people trying to stifle debate. They should have had the cops take care of it if there was a problem. So before you say there was selective outrage now you're saying there's just not enough outrage.

How does stifling debate help the general populace be informed?

edit: Besides it seems both the union guys in your view seem to serve the same purpose as these protesters. To intimidate. Both are wrong and both should not be allowed. There should be an open respectful debate

He tore his own shirt?

hmm. if he was on the other side, would you have started a thread on him?

It is still highly selective to see on one hand, people starting threads for thier collective side, and on the other, having to pry a generic condemnation of thier other side....

What say you about the democrat machine who orchestrated sending out the union thugs, or in that video, that politician, stacking his meeting with thugs to intimidate his constituents?

See, we see detailed condemnation, in your thread, but here we see, uninspired condemnation at best....

This is just an observation....

How does stifling debate help the general populace be informed?

I don't know, perhaps you should ask the union thugs who assaulted that feller, or ask that politician who stacked his meeting with them...

I find that far more abhorrent, than angry citizens voicing thier opinions.

He tore his own shirt?
It was pretty crowded there like I said its hard to tell from that angle.

hmm. if he was on the other side, would you have started a thread on him?

Like I said I'd need more information it is not clear from your video unlike the other video where people are actually shouting the woman down its pretty damned clear. I try to vet information what do you do with yours?

Now you're doing the hokey pokey before it was selective now its just not enough outrage. I told you from the beginning after seeing the videos both sides are wrong. You seem to want me to throw the book at these guys. You won't admit that the shouters are wrong because they're on your side but then want me to condemn people who aren't even on my side. Which I did.

What say you about the democrat machine who orchestrated sending out the union thugs, or in that video, that politician, stacking his meeting with thugs to intimidate his constituents?
I already told you it was wrong for people to be at the meeting who weren't from the district. Just as the people at the New Jersey town hall who were from New York shouldn't have been there either.

This is just an observation....

In my whole thread my condemnation was about the people shouting down anyone who they thought disagreed with them even if they were on their side. I stated this multiple times to which you ignored it. The people in New Jersey were unhinged they shouted down people on their own side as well because they sounded intellectual. I don't know how many times I have to repeat this before it sinks in for you. My problem is them lurching at anyone they perceived to be their enemies without even thinking about it.

I don't know, perhaps you should ask the union thugs who assaulted that feller, or ask that politician who stacked his meeting with them...

How would I be able to ask them if its not clear from the video who "assaulted him"? I can't see it in the video. Do you seem to know who they are?

I find that far more abhorrent, than angry citizens voicing thier opinions.

Both were meant to intimidate I find them both wrong as opposed to you only finding fault with the union.

The outrage is selective and political.

Outrage oughta be quelled for the greater good. Shame some people wouldn't know the greater good even if it sat on their face and waved at them and said hello...

Stupid humans...

Where are your threads on this?

Again the union guys were just as wrong as the people trying to stifle debate. They should have had the cops take care of it if there was a problem. So before you say there was selective outrage now you're saying there's just not enough outrage.

Selective, I have shown you evidence, and all you respond is in the generic, and dismissivly, yet, you start threads on specifics for the side you are supporting...

Now you're doing the hokey pokey before it was selective now its just not enough outrage. I told you from the beginning after seeing the videos both sides are wrong. This is a dishonest assesment of my poition, your selectivity is directly related to your lip service.

I already told you it was wrong for people to be at the meeting who weren't from the district. Just as the people at the New Jersey town hall who were from New York shouldn't have been there either.

Again, what aout the politician who brought them there. And what evidence do you have that people at the town hall were from NY?

See you can't condem your side without saying "but but look at those evil conservative types!"

It's transparent.

You seem to be more concerned with "shouting" than you are with assault. Why?

How would I be able to ask them if its not clear from the video who "assaulted him"? I can't see it in the video. Do you seem to know who they are?

see above.

Both were meant to intimidate I find them both wrong as opposed to you only finding fault with the union.

This is a dishonest misrepresentation of my position. sorry.

Yes, stupid humans who think others are thier keeper.

Will you be doing violence or will you leave that to union thugs?

Will you be doing violence or will you leave that to union thugs?

And you talk about selective outrage? My, but yours is showing right now.

Will "I" be doing violence? What in heck are you talking about?

Has maturity really flown the coup? And all sense with it? What the heck are you on about?

(Christ, I'm glad I live in Australia.)

Nowhere in the article does it make clear other than both sides scuffled. In the fox article it said most of the protesters were against reform and scuffled with organizers.

There already was a thread on this. What would be the point of being redundant when there's a thread on the topic? From the video it is unclear that Gladney was even assaulted. It looks like he tripped and fell then got back up again walked it off. For a guy who was "repeatedly kicked in the head" he seems to have no head injuries.

Selective, I have shown you evidence, and all you respond is in the generic, and dismissivly, yet, you start threads on specifics for the side you are supporting...

I never stated which side I was on Rev so you're being disengenuous. I never stated my opinions on health care so again you're being dishonest. I started a thread where I stated multiple times the protesters were shouting down people even on their own side. Each time I mention it you ignore it as if its not part of the equation. Selective reading on your part. I responded by condemning the intimidation. What you want me to say they should burn in hell? What are you looking for in terms of the appropriate amount of outrage?

This is a dishonest assesment of my poition, your selectivity is directly related to your lip service.

Its not dishonest thus far you've only condemned the unions but no mention about the protesters stifling debate, shutting down town halls, disrupting the democratic process. Where are all your threads on that? Again you're accussing me of things you're guilty of.

Again, what aout the politician who brought them there. And what evidence do you have that people at the town hall were from NY?
The interview from the woman who got shouted down saying she talked to people before hand and they said they were from NY. What about the politician I already said it was wrong of him to do that. How about Dick Armey's group spreading disinformation and helping fund these protests? How do you feel about that?

See you can't condem your side without saying "but but look at those evil conservative types!"

I don't have a side Rev again you keep trying to attribute a position to me that I have not taken. I condemned both sides something you won't, or are afraid to do but all the while accussing me of something you're guilty of. Give it up Rev this pinning of stuff on me isn't working I'm not a partisan hack I'm not beholden to any party.

It's transparent.
Yes what you are doing is clearly transparent.
You seem to be more concerned with "shouting" than you are with assault. Why?
There's no proof of assault from your videos and from the articles it is unclear

This is a dishonest misrepresentation of my position. sorry.
Nothing dishonest about it. No condemnation of people stifling debate
