Fla. students' shirts: 'Islam is of the Devil'

I can deal with 20 ... just ...
But no go on 16. Ever.

Never would you get the likes of Tiller that is true and the main reason is that it is not such a controversial issue like US and therefore it seems you cannot have a logical, calm debate on abortion limits/laws in US without the crazies jumping in with emotion and ruining it allowing people like Tiller to make a appearance.

Maybe i should have said a more liberal attitude.
I'd say more calm attitude. I'd accept 20, even if I'd like it a little earlier, and a few more restrictions --- if this is your fifth abortion then you should not get one in general. Also I object to any taxpayer funding for most abortions, that is abhorrent and destroys any validity in the "free choice" reasonings. The US at least has that on us.

So horrible. States right.
Sometimes federal Govt. is right.

Didn't it enforce segregation as illegal over state rights? Civil rights etc.
The point is that ends don't justify the means. States rights and judicial activism are important areas. Remember they could just as easily be used against you as for you.

We are highly calm, i'll give you that.
Did you watch the Abortion and Embryology bill debate? Best ever on Parliament.
Both sides passionate but not crazy. That is how it is done.

If you are able to have a 5th abortion, then thank god you are not infertile left.
I know someone who had 3 and is now infertile. Her fault

Taxmoney pays for things you will never agree.
How lovely would it be to choose where your taxmoney goes.
My money would cut off any funding to any religious institution including Islamic schools and COE and the military.

I support judicial activism
Sometimes the feds do have it right tho.
You mean it doesn't happen already?

No but it does sound interesting. I can't really get the debates here.

Sad to hear.

However this is a particularly controversial moral issue and the pro sides arguments revolves around the idea of being for choice. It is sort of shooting yourself in the foot and it abhorrent. It is like "you don't have to have an abortion, it is the woman's choice...btw you're picking up the tab mate".

I cannot support judicial activism, it undermines laws and constitutions as well as the rule of law and the separation of powers. It is a major argument against the EHCR and the human rights act. I believe the only way the rule of law could be preserved would be with a very strict and original interpretation laws and constitutions.

I have no problem with the shirts. If the religion they believe says this then cool. What I don't like is the distraction it will cause in school. Of course if it is a public school they should be wearing uniforms anyway. Problem solved.

Sorry, forgot you didn't live in UK :3oops:

Meh, NHS is NHS.
Can't argue against it tbh.

Then we agree to disagree because i want the law and consitution to be interpreted in the context of the times

Me too.:(

Well you can exclude the procedure for most people, it would easy enough. It makes absolutely no sense because it invalidates they very arguments generally used by the pro-choice side.

Then as Thomas Jefferson said they become things of mere for the judiciary to reshape. That is the legislatures job. But we'll have to agree to disagree on that for now.

I'd like the Judiciary to be a quasi-legalisative like they are in US.
Judicary should be given more power imo.

Why? If people can get every other medical procedure on NHS. Why not Abortion?
It is a medical procedure

I completely disagree, it is a great way to undermine the separation of powers and the rule of law. It also begs the question why judges and not say the monarch should exercise this power. I'd rather have the Queen have non-elected legislative power if someone has to.

You can't get cosmetic plastic surgery on the NHS generally and other such things, or so I believe. Abortion is a contentious moral issues whose advocates base their entire arguments, basically, around choice. Hence it is very much out of place to have it on the NHS.

Well! If you're just going to get all reasonable and tolerant, I'll go find something else to do!

Enough intolerance and stupidity exist on all sides where religion is concerned.

People just need to remember that religious people have opinions etc as well as everyone else. In the end they are also just as human.

An asshole is an asshole no matter if he is a Christian, Muslim or Atheist, period.

What "two" are you refering to B/D?

I'm Agnostic, by the way. Peace.

Political Islam is not the friend of non-Muslims.

Wearing those shirts was pretty rude.

Does anyone know where we can purchase them?

Ever been inside a Mosque? Probably not, unless you're a Muslim. Are you?

If you're not a Muslim and you've never tried to enter a mosque, give it shot and see how much luck you have with that.

I'm a Caucasian Buddhist male. I have been inside the mosque in Irving, TX. You were saying....?

Don't disparage the religion because a few jerks on the firing ruin it for everyone.

Political Islam is not the friend of non-Muslims.

So you would judge the majority by the minority? Well that says a mouthful about how much you would be in support of liberty and religious freedom.
