I am going to jump in and say I think the kids should not have been sent home. They were exercising their freedom of speech and this is no different than kids and adults burning American flags abroad. I am not in favor of bigotry, but freedom of speech is freedom of speech.
Freedom of speech rights don't exist in the school setting. Or in court, for that matter.
