Cornyn accuses White House of compiling 'enemies list'

Obviously I was referring to having someone committed to an asylum, but you know that.

Right, you want to imprison people who are fearful of their government. No need to repeat yourself, I got it the first time.

So, the administration has no right to have their supporters inform them of disinformation being spread so they can respond to lies? You know they are still entitled to interact with their supporters within the party.

The potential for abuse is enough to warrant fear. The government has no place encouraging people to report political dissent for executive inspection.

FBI files anyone?

Using the psychiatry profession as a means of silencing dissent is not something this country ever needs to do. We do not need to recreate the Gulag Archipeligo.

Then let them interact the same way all political parties have interacted with the American people: put out their position, make their case, let the Congressmen and Senators take the pulse of their constituents on the weighty issues of the day. The Administration does not need to be encouraging Americans to inform on other Americans.

"Ours was the first revolution in the history of mankind that truly reversed the course of government, and with three little words: 'We the people.' 'We the people' tell the government what to do, it doesn't tell us. 'We the people' are the driver, the government is the car. And we decide where it should go, and by what route, and how fast. Almost all the world's constitutions are documents in which governments tell the people what their privileges are. Our Constitution is a document in which 'We the people' tell the government what it is allowed to do. 'We the people' are free.

The only reason to try this tactic is to passively admit that the counter information is correct, there would be no reason to go after someone telling a distortion or mistruth, as the truth would be a perfectly acceptible counter, only when the truth is on the other side, or when the truth deflates the agenda would silence be preferable to counter information.

Yo check your pm.

Here's a fishy one. It is the kind of blatant lie that seems to show up on hundreds of blogs and thousands of inboxes within the space of a couple of days. It is false and yet health reform opponents eat them up and repeat them as gospel. Oppose health care reform if you must but for Christ's sake do some fact checking.

Bad press, including major mockery of the plan by comedian Jon Stewart, led to President Obama abandoning his proposal to require veterans carry private health insurance to cover the estimated $540 million annual cost to the federal government of treatment for injuries to military personnel received during their tours on active duty.

The President admitted that he was puzzled by the magnitude of the opposition to his proposal.

"Look, it's an all volunteer force," Obama complained..

"Nobody made these guys go to war. They had to have known and accepted the risks. Now they whine about bearing the costs of their choice? It doesn't compute...”

"I thought these were people who were proud to sacrifice for their country," Obama continued. "I wasn't asking for blood, just money. With the country facing the worst financial crisis in its history, I'd have thought that the patriotic thing to do would be to try to help reduce the nation's deficit. I guess I underestimated the selfishness of some of my fellow Americans."

Please pass this on to every vet you know and to their families.

Corporate PR agents write these things and you are worried about the government lying to you?

People that paranoid need to be locked up, or under the supervision of a psychiatrist. If you really think that this is suppression, I do not even know where to begin. Someone sits in fear about sending an e-mail, that the big government will come to get them. Like I said, they need mental health help, so I think they might have more pressing concerns, like their sanity.

Nixon tried to complie photos of anti war demonstrators but was stop by the law this isnt with precident.

A Google of the above "quote" shows up at 635 links. Yet some of you have a problem with the White House keeping track of lies? I guess you just want a clear field to make up whatever crap you can imagine, and scare people with it, without anyone keeping score.

Or maybe it is that the intentions of this collection are unclear? Note they were rather ambiguous with WHAT to send (person name? site? both? Other info on top of that), and the reasoning behind the collection is shrouded in ambiguous terms. Keep track of lies... for what purpose exactly, and how can we keep on top of our govt. if we can't even be reasonably skeptical about their motives?

The White House never heard of google? Why do they need emails forwarded to them?

It is not as much a high opinion of myself, but rather a low opinion of people that either require themselves to lie, or people too freaking stupid to figure out the obvious, or people that are just confused because they did bother to actually read.

The irony here is that the people who are perhaps too freaking stupid to figure out the obvious or confused are the ones who think that Obama isn’t force feeding them lies and distortions to promote his Socialist agenda.

You think Obama is being honest about it? Does it occur to you that he quite possibly is lying to you just as he lied about the effects of the pork laden stimulus bill?

Really Sen. Cornyn, could you be any more of a paranoid douchebag? Now first off, this takes about 2 brain cells to figure out. If a person finds a webpage they think has "intentionally misleading information", they could use a Gmail account if so paranoid. But something tells me that a lot of the people that would be doing this probably already have submitted their e-mails as freaking supporters! Wait, what is that at the top of the page I see, Get Updates? I can voluntarily submit my e-mail address and get updates. Imagine that. Still having trouble finding where I provide the White House with personal information so they can collect that for their enemies list to prepare for our invasion of Poland.

Does it occur to you that the only ones acting paranoid are the Government clones who want citizens to report “intentionally misleading information” to them so they can get the “truth” out?

This sounds almost Stalinist in its paranoia to me.

So who determines what is misleading? Oh yeah, the Government people who are trying to shove this down our throats claiming that it wont cost that much more and we wont have our taxes raised.

Good lord, who is stupid enough to believe this crapola?

Now, what "Disinformation" could we possibly see? Oh, maybe something like this:

The ONLY disinformation and fear mongering in this debate is coming from Obama and his cabal of idiots. Yes, this plan will end up costing the American people additional TRILLIONS to fund; yes it will end up in shortages of doctors and care and lead to long waiting times for services we currently take for granted; and yes, this program will indeed lead to universal healthcare that will raise the cost on every American in this country and provide a mediocre care far less than what we currently enjoy.

If you don’t believe this, open your eyes and look at what happens in nations that have it. Look at the tax rates in nations that have it. The notion that the most inept entity on earth can better manage healthcare than the private markets requires willful denial.

Remember Liberals, this is the same Government you claimed couldn’t manage its own budget or war in Iraq.

Cornyn isn't an idiot; he is just trying to warn you of what is to come if you continue being a willing lemming to this despicable administration.
