Then he wasn't being honest. Again, what is the difference between medicare part A and medicare part B, and what is the requirement to get coverage from part C-?. Oh, and by the way, the question mark isn't because I don't know the extent of the private options, it's because I want you to pony up with something that tells me you know something....anything about what you are talking about, since you stopped at part D I will assume you don't know much. So again, what makes medicare different from what you want? I know the answer, medicare is partially contributory and has private options, so again, how is the representatives statement relevant?

C-O-N-T-R-I-B-U-T-O-R-Y, if you need help with that, it means you had to pay something for a period certain to get any benefits from it, medicare also has
P-R-I-V-A-T-E O-P-T-I-O-N-S, that means that there are, when certain conditions are met.....now, pay attention.....it means that it is semi privatized. This is not the case with the UHC proposal. So again, what is the relevance of what the representative brought up?
I guess what you seem incapable of understanding the obvious, which others have seemed quite capable of understanding is this: They are protesting government run health care while raising their hands to using government run health care. Get it now? I know you are not being this dense, so this is obviously an attempt at trying to diffuse a very valid point that is made.
Yeah, they are using what they paid in to. What you are oblivious to, whether intentionally or you just ignorant to, is that the two systems are incompatible for the purposes of the discussion. Get it yet?
You might want to read up a bit on what UHC is by definition, what is being proposed through public option, and what is expected to be passed. Maybe I would not be so smug if people bothered to read and educate themselves outside of the partisan talking points. I am referring to this:

I think you would probably be smug as well when dealing with an issue such as this and having to point out the errors time and time again, only to see people use the same damn talking point. It does get very tiring.
