As to why they haven't been ruled out? Simple, the courts follow the political winds.

You mean the budget requests that Tip O'Neill immediately ignored and wrote bills for whatever he felt like? The actuall bills presented to the President didn't look like what he asked for, that's certain.

'Cuz, guess what, the Congress originates the spending bills, not the White House. Perhaps you should learn some basic civics sometime.

Actually, now that I think of it, go through my earliest threads here. I long since shot this down. Or do a search where I posted about David Stockman. It is all there. And yes, YOU have to do the work, I am too sick and tired of having to repeat this to the ignorant.

p.s. WHile you are doing your research, 1985 is the key year as Stockman quit then...significance to budgets. I shall say no more, carry on.

Better yet, let's start with 1985's budget, zero out all spending on non-defense programs, and see what happens to the deficit.

You keep missing the part about the spending the Democrats push on us being unconstitutional, and hence illegal.

Why is that?

Franklin Delano Roosevelt was the worst American president, and will never be exceeded. Even BO would have to work hard to out due him. The payroll tax deduction was the biggest trick on the American population in history. If it weren't for that, you wouldn't see half the programs passed that have.

Is there any part of the report that you wish to claim is untrue? I am not the one investigating these lobbyists, NBC News did that. If you believe they got something wrong, tell us what it is.

Meanwhile, NBC's investigation of this "spontaneous groundswell" continued last night, revealing some congressmen have received death threats, and one was hung in effigy outside his office. Is this democracy, or does it sound more like Kristalnacht?

If rightwing thugs attempt to stop the democratic process by shouting down town hall meetings, I approve any necessary actions to stop them and allow democracy to proceed. If the AFL-CIO, Teamsters or Tony Soprano want to send in enforcers to drag these people out of the meetings by their heels and put them back on their buses, I approve it.
Anyone who attends a town hall meeting with questions and opinions is welcome, but when organized groups attempt to disrupt those meetings and not allow them to proceed, that is vigilantism, and should be met with strong physical confrontation.

Oh I get it. You demand the right to disrupt town hall meetings, and don't want anyone to stop you. You demand the right to spread lies about health care reform, but don't want the White House to respond to those lies. You demand the freedom to be a vigilante and threaten violence, but anyone who tries to stop you is a thug. How telling of your character.

That's a very interesting video, thank you for posting it.
It shows a group of activists disrupting a town hall meeting in Tampa by chanting. They refuse to stop chanting when asked. Finally, they are body-blocked out of the room and the door shut behind them so the town hall meeting can continue.

I did not see any "violence". But yes, I totally support the "fat union thugs" pushing the mob out of the room. You don't? How long should the protestors have been allowed to chant? As long as they want? How does that contribute to the town hall meeting? Do you consider their chanting to be "free speech"?

I think this video and your reaction to it pretty well summarizes your disregard for the democratic process and your hyper-partisan opinion. Again, thank you for posting the video.

What you are either failing to recognize or understand is that there is a difference between people working for compensation in healthcare and big companies running the healthcare business seeking to maximize their profits.
They are not the same thing.
