Barack Obama faces 30 death threats a day, stretching US Secret Service

Let's see black man, that's gonna raise the ire of some morons.

He's a radical who is pushing for big government in ways not seen since FDR...

H'es appologizing for America at everyturn...

He's really not a very nice guy.

Add all that up and you get... death threats.

I'd say that the number of racial hate groups (KKK, skinheads, etc.) in this country would probably be evidence enough for that.

So, it's just as reasonable to say that alot of Bush's death threats came from the Black Panthers and other groups of the same sort?

Racism will never go away. Just can't say that enough. People are going to see racism around every corner and under every rock.

Oh come on. That's not even a remotely honest way to frame that argument. You are assuming both men are on equal playing ground. However, we've had nothing but white Presidents since this country was founded. Obama is the first black one. Of course it's quite likely that a lot of racial hate groups are going to make death threats.

There's no need to be a jerk about it. I'm just saying that it's probably a fairly reasonable assumption that some of those death threats are probably from racial hate organizations. It's not that far of a leap to make.

Uh, yeah it was. He made the claim that the jump was due to the fact that Obama was black and because of the racial hate groups in this country that's probably somewhat true.

Actually Tiller was murdered because some lunatic decided to kill him. How about placing blame where it belongs rather than on other undeserving parties just because it makes it convenient for your partisan views?

How about proving your theory or "opinion" with some facts? How many KKK and skinheads are there in a country with about 350 million people and what percentage they make up of the total population.

Hell, I'll even let you use the ADULT population.

That's like blaming the bullets for all the gun deaths. Who did the lunatic listen to on the radio while he was cleaning his guns. Where did he get the idea that killing Tiller would be a good thing. How about placing blame on those that pushed this guys buttons, that would be the responsible thing to do.

Well, nobody is going to be able to bring you hard concrete facts on that because death threats are usually anonymous. Would you agree, though, that it's not really that crazy of an assertion and that it's probably true?

I didn't say that it was the sole reason for the jump in death threats. I said that it probably is a reason for some of it. The membership numbers are low for all of those groups, I realize this.

Actually no, it's like blaming the guy holding the gun for gun deaths. Tons of people listened to the broadcast and they didn't go out and kill Tiller. A complete lunatic did, which tells me that it has far less to do with the broadcast and more to do with the lunatic. Why not assign the blame where it belongs?
