Conservative kiosk not allowed at mall

This mall has no meaning to me since it isn't in an area I care about.

However, I will say this. The best course of action to do in a case of a mall you don't agree with it's decision is to not shop there, don't support it with your money and avoid it.

The interesting thing is that in many cases, some people will say "I don't agree with what they are doing, but they have the best prices on the named brands that either I want or my kids want", and they shop there anyway.

IMHO this little outrage isn't going to do anything except for the outrage that people feel for the mall that don't live in the area or shop there. For the people that do live in the area and shop there life will go on.

Private business can do what they want, I have no issue with the legality.

However, I think both the woman who complained and the mall management are retards if they think those political statements are 'offensive' or 'racist' or whatever the **** their stupid ass reasons were for removing the kiosk.

There was nothing remotely racist and certainly nothing offensive. Nothing was even close to the line, much less crossing it.

Why would, why should people protest such intellectualy retarded statements as were being presented on these bumper stickers? I mean really the comments on these stickers were shallow devoid of any depth.

Ummm, because many people are devoid of any depth or integrity? The woman screaming at some townhall about Obama's birth certificate. She's nuts, and I totally see her wanting one of these bumper stickers.

I WANT MY COUNTRY BACK! LOL that **** was hilarious!

The mall is a privately owned business. Simon can choose to lease or not to lease to who ever he wants for what ever reason.

Mc.No.Spin was saying that. He was also saying because of that the Mall's owner ALSO should be dealt with in a free market way, IE people should boycott shopping at his mall.

Apparently he had some pro Confederate items which I am guessing she extrapolates into meaning pro slavery.

Which does nothing but show the absolute ignorance and intollerance of the woman complaining.

Then I would doubt it, since we have already seen that southern newspapers print allegations without confirmation.

Yeah, and we all know that northern newspapers like the NY Times print nothing but the truth don't we???

Simon Property Group is the largest (at least they were a few years ago) owner/operators of malls and shopping centers in the country. I did a lot of work for them a few years ago. They are total sleaze bags. They screw their vendors and the stores in their malls every chance they get.

With that said, they have the absolute right to not renew this guy's lease.

Do ever research before you post or do you simply speculate from the hip?

Who is Jason Blair, and where did he work, why is he infamous?

He doesn't pull information from his hip, but you're close !!

I was trying to throw you ditto-heads a bone. The NYT has a somewhat stricter journalistic standard than the Yeehaw Ledger.

"Stricter journalistic standards" ???? Yeah, based on all the misinformation the past few years in the NYT, I can tell.

I'm really glad there are no backwoods redneck towns and newspapers above the Mason-Dixon line.

Funny... when I lived in the north, I saw more rednecks and racial bigotry than I've ever seen in the south.

One question that I just thought of in regards to this story... If this kiosk was paying money i.e. RENTING space, and there was nothing stipulating that political material was forbidden, then this mall owner may be in a world of hurt.

Some of those are over the top. I don't have a problem with the Impeach Obama because...well how many people were running around with Impeach Bush bumper stickers before. The Al Qaeda (you know they're terrorists because they don't have a "u" directly after the "q") one is a bit over the line though. But whatever, as already stated the mall is private and the owner is free to do as they wish.
Look, I have proof that the al Qaeda stickers are factual.

:rofl

Especially ones run by Northerners from Buffalo (Like Charlotte Based News Stations)

I saw on their website a little statue of Abraham Lincoln and a little Statue of Stonewall Jackson.

Hardly Pro-Slavery and Racism.

1) No he doesn't. The question goes to standards, and whether the kiosk violated them.

2) However, the people DO have grounds for not shopping there. THIS is where the battle should be fought. Spread the word - Do not shop at this mall. The owner of the mall can then decide how much his standards are actually worth.

Don't forget he has other malls look up the malls that may be in your neighborhood.

Simon - Find a Mall

Hmm. Just reading this thread.

I used to shop at Concord Mills all the time. Saw a lot of movies there. Lived nearby. Rather enjoyed it.

I'm sympathetic to the bumper stickers, too, though I think some of them are childish.

All that said, a private owner gets to do what he wants with his property.
