While we can discuss legalization in other thread. I think this crackdown is long overdue. With violence in Mexico via drug related crimes is pandemic, its about time Mexico started taking care of Mexico's problem, and about time they stopped blaming the US.

Thousands of heavily armed soldiers have been deployed in Mexico in the government's latest efforts to crack down on the country's drug war.
Troops set up roadblocks on major highways in the western state of Michoacan on Saturday in response to a series of drug gang attacks on police.
Armed with automatic weapons, soldiers wearing ski masks to shield their identities searched vehicles for signs of drug smuggling after the government ordered 5,500 troops to deploy to the area by land, sea and air in the marijuana-growing region, also the President's home state.
