You aren't even addressing the points I made in my post about Collins or Snowe, which was my contention and I could care less where you live. Setting the record straight is my objective, not a discussion of what it's like living in Maine according to you. Angus King was a 2 term governor so I consider that successful.
There is a good reason for there being 2 Maine's, and this is a classic example. People in the south don't have a clue about anything to do with life above Portland.
Actually, your post was that I had no idea what Maine was like, and I begged to differ. If getting re-elected is all it takes to be successful, than I guess you would call GWB a success.
I contend that neither Snowe, Collins, King or Baldacci have done much to make this a thriving state. This state is in real trouble, and what are our elected officials doing about it?
There's really not a heck of a lot going on north of Portland. But you know that. That's why it's a fabulous place to retire.
edit: Brunswick isn't bad, though.
