Palin says she's not leaving politics

I still see the PDS is strong with the forum after a couple days away.

I have to laugh at the so called PDS, when we have threads about people thinking Obama is looking at butts.

Ah. That must explain her centrality in the current news and commentary cycle, and the endless requests for interviews.

Her political career is over. Sensationalism does not equate to a political career.

EDIT: I'll amend one part of my comment. Her "ELECTED" career is over. I definitely see her as someone that could be appointed to a position by someone who is elected though.

The amount of lefty hate for her shows that she is the real deal threat, and they are told to hate on her, so like good little brown shirts, they do.

Obama is Carter Redux, and what did we get from Carter? Reagan.

Palin is no longer any ELECTABLE threat. She sealed that fate herself and it was only her fault.

The best Palin has to hope for is an appointable position by someone else in charge.

She is a quitter and is clear she can't handle the heat in the kitchen, so she got out.

The really hilarious part about the Palin worshipers is that the main reason they liked her was because she was "hot" to them lol.

So it is now a known fact the best way for a conservative to gain popularity is to have a pair of tits and be a former beauty queen.

Yep, she's a quitter that folded, you are SOO right.

Keep saying that, trumpet it! SCREAM IT!

Cause frankly, anyone that listens to Mrs. Palin, and understands what she believes and stands for saw her move for what it was. Principled. You lefties go right on having convulsions trying to make this into what it's not. Cause the more you do, the more people see you what you are.

Palin quit for a reason, and someone like yourself cannot understand those reasons, so you give the ones you're told to give by your political masters. Seriously, do you ALL read Huffington post before you post?

The reason she quit is she can't handle the heat in the kitchen.

But you Palin worshipers keep thinking otherwise.

Here's a hint, just because many conservatives are entranced by her tits, doesn't mean she would make a good president.

She is drowning in her self created pool of BS. She knows it... So she quit.

I can see it now...

Ron Paul/quitter 2012

Of course she is not leaving. Lets add liar to the list of things that are Palin.

Yep, that's EXACTLY why she quit. You nailed, you understand her SOOO well.

Since she's SOOO done and NO THREAT, why do you HAVE to make such a fuss over her?

Hmm?

When Algore lost the 2000 election, he became a nobody, I don't recall any Right wingers spending months and weeks going on about him.

Why? Because he became nothing.

How about that John Edwards? He's toast. Do you see us wasting time on him? NOOOO.

So here we have Mrs. Palin, and you guys declare her dead, yet... you act like she's the biggest threat out there.

Hmmm... actions > words. Something you lefties never get.

Yep I'm making such a fuss over her I am talking about her on an internet chat board, yep such a fuss :rofl

When Algore lost the 2000 election, he became a nobody, I don't recall any Right wingers spending months and weeks going on about him.

Conservatives haven't STOPPED talking about Al-Gore. Let's see, first it was about him not stopping the presidency, then it was about Global Warming.

How about that John Edwards? He's toast. Do you see us wasting time on him? NOOOO.

CONSERVATIVES couldn't stop talking about him for MONTHS after his affair. I remember them talking about how he might be an apointee by a Dem. sorry you lose there.

So here we have Mrs. Palin, and you guys declare her dead, yet... you act like she's the biggest threat out there..

LOL keep thinking that. Look if male conservatives want to masturbate to Palin and shoot their load all over the picture they have of her over their bed, that is on them. Don't blame people for calling her for what she is a quitter.

That's not what I said. Is it?

I take what you posted at face value:

The Liberals hope Palin's credibility is totally shot.

There are plenty of Conservatives who also hope Palin's credibility is shot. Why? Because Palin is an idiot, and as one Conservative put it, a cancer on the Republican party. But you only chose to say that Liberals hope her credibility is shot, and didn't mention Conservatives at all. And you bolded the word "hope" when you posted it. Now why is that?

I think I called it right.

And I think the opening poster of those threads took some heat, too.

One side doing it doesn't justify the other side doing it.

You are absolutely correct in your assessments. I think it is in the mind of just about every Democrat at this point to dream that Palin will be the 2012 pick. Now the obvious question is if your opponent wants someone so badly, maybe there is a good reason for this. You also correct to point out that she is a cancer on the party. Except for a select few, most of the intellectual wing of the GOP (George Will, David Brooks, Peggy Noonan, Kathleen Parker, David Frum, and a host of others) absolutely despise her. Well what does that say? Just think how many moderate Republicans fled en masse from their own party this last election? Or chose to just stay home.

Vulnerable GOPs want Palin to stay home

Republicans facing tough elections in 2010 don’t want Sarah Palin campaigning with them.

Though the soon-to-be-former Alaska governor is seen as popular with the conservative grass roots, several Republicans said she’d help them by staying home in Wasilla.

Several of these Republicans hail from districts or states carried in 2008 by President Obama, a frequent target of Palin’s criticism. Republicans must keep these districts and win others where Obama is popular if they are to gain seats next year.

Even more amazing, "Pullin' a Palin" is now in the Urban Dictionary

To admit that you are quitting your job because your employers would be better off without you.
The CEO was Pullin' a Palin when he told us we might be better off with someone who doesn't make decisions with a coin toss.

Not exactly the kind of news you want a potential Presidential candidate to be making.

Vicchio, Jallman, don't bother. This isn't a debate thread. It's a bash Palin thread. These folks don't want to debate anything. They're taking extreme pleasure and what they perceive as a weakness and piling on. It's not worth the effort.

Sarah Palin is a foolish woman and having QUIT in the middle of a job is shameful. She should be ashamed and her apologists should be embarrassed for their blind support of such a terrible public servant.
When are you people going to have a candidate that can win something. We're waiting.....

I notice the criticism here is coming from phoney conservatives and closet liberals. Credibility is zero; opinion irrelevant.

This left me scratching my head....huh? What was I thinking, of course McCain/Palin won last November...and Santa Clause is true.

So you alone can judge who can be a conservative and who is not? Duh, no wonder the Republican party is a god damn mess, you are all bent more on eating your own. Quote incredible of you to impeach so many people that have long bore the standard of conservatism. So Christopher Buckley, Peggy Noonan, David Frum, David Brooks, Kathleen Parker, George Will, etc.. are all phony conservatives?

The question you need to ask is not whether these individual are conservatives or not, but why they are so opposed to this one individual Palin. But what the hell, I am a Lib, and as such fully support Palin for 2012! Wooohoo...

 and yet another Palin thread.

I see the "cntrl-V" effect is in full bloom.

If it is true that Governor Palin's 'higher power' is a Presidential run then I gave the woman too much credit when she initially quit. I didn't believe that even she was foolish enough to believe that this abdication will aid her 2012 prospects. Then again, I never have seen her as a serious candidate for any kind of Federal office anyway.

Dear GOP,
We need an opposition party in this country, please, for the love of Jesus/Buddha/Yaweh/Shiva'a/Confucius do not nominate this woman as your Presidential candidate.

Sincerely,
NortheastCynic

No.....Please Please PLEASE do!

The Liberals hope Palin's credibility is totally shot.

This is an easy fallback position, but I'm not a liberal. I'm a fiscal conservative. Remind me again how this is all about the liberals hating on Palin...

Palin had some credibility, and could have gotten more by completing a successful term as governor. She failed to do so.

Frankly, as a professional woman, I find her an embarrassment. I'm absolutely shocked that there are conservatives out there who take her seriously.

You're a liberal that abhors spending too much. You don't impress me.

With that said, you basically just called yourself a liar.

Palin quit because she felt her being Governor was costing Alaska more then it was getting back due to all the hate towards her.

AS A FISCALLY CONSERVATIVE person, you should applaud her principled choice to save the state millions.

Instead you parrot Newsweek, NY Times and Huffington post commentary.

Don't call yourself "fiscally conservative" if it only applies when it's easy for you politically. That's just dishonest.

No, dear. I'm a moderate. Remember us? We're the people who aren't part of your koolaid swilling contests. For the record, I'm pro-limits on abortion, hawkish, and pro-limiting government spending. I'm just not homophobic.

That's the reason she's given, yes. But, I don't find it plausible, nor do I believe her.

YOu know how I know Sarah Palin (or for that matter, any other politician) is lying? Her lips are moving.

AS A FISCALLY CONSERVATIVE person, you should applaud her principled choice to save the state millions.

As an old-fashioned woman, I say that if you sign up to do a job, you should do it. Sarah Palin had her head turned by hollywood, and has abdicated her responsibility to her constituents. That's not conservative.

You're certainly entitled to your opinion. BTW, I'll let you know when I meet a moderate on this site.

You're welcome to try and make the Hollywood case, right here if you like.

Good for her!
Love her or Hate her she has the reins now.

One of the only real faces in US politics that people can believe..hopefully even if she isn't personally propelled to President or whatnot..she will help set a tone that will change US politics from the hate based politics of Obama to the politics of 30 years ago .

Aww...that's too bad. I was hoping she would just disappear. If she helps to set any tone of politics in the US, we're sunk.
