You know, while I do have a problem with the death penalty for several reasons, the main one being that, occasionally, an innocent is executed, I don't really have a problem with it being applied here. Want to know why the attorney for Michael Delozier, the defendant, claimed he should not be put to death?

During the trial, defense attorneys argued that their client’s behavior was affected by a difficult childhood during which his stepfather trafficked methamphetamine and abused his children.
Looks like he went right to the death chamber denying he was responsible for his actions. Did his stepfather put a gun to his head and force him to murder those 2 campers? Of course not. He did the crime, and he will have to live die with the consequences of his actions. Sorry if this sounds harsh, but we all have moments in life where life kind of sucks for a while. But we don't go out and murder people when we are down, do we?

We are all responsible for the things we do in life, including this POS. Too bad he did not learn his lesson and show a little remorse for what he did, but right now, who gives a damn? The punk is dead. He surely will not be doing it again.

Article is here.

I am sure if he was in Commiefornia that "I had a bad child hood" excuse would have worked. Lots of people grew up getting their ass beat by their parents, its just how kids were disciplined back then . And the huge vast majority of those people are productive citizens. As the comedian Christopher Titus once said(he may or may have not been the first to say this)Every child's sweater knitting cookie baking grandma is the belt swinging terror of that child's mother or father(or both if the child has two sets of grandparents).

I am not to sure what this issue has to do with elections.

Except we paid way more than lifetime of meals to get rid of him.

That's why he should have been executed within 48 hours of being convicted. Just think of all the money they could have saved.

Guilty...dead...case closed.

So long, sorry piece of scum :2wave:

I abhor the death penalty. It should be illegal in every state.

I believe the death penalty is appropriate in certain cases. If a person's guilt is not in question in a capital case and they've exhausted all their appeals, I say send them to settle up with their maker.

I abhor people who abhor the death penalty. They should be executed in every state.

.........

I dont think it should be illegal but I think it should be up to the convicted. Life without parole or death.

Ignorance is bliss isn't it? I'm glad you're a supporter of child abuse and wish we were the United States of America (minus California).

Personally I think the lack of physical punishment of children is what is causing our newer generations to be so god damned lacking in discipline.

The death penalty shows that we are very serious about murder. I you murder you will die.

Not all corporal punishment is child abuse. Spanking your child for example is not child child abuse.

What does this have to do with what I said in a previous post on this thread? Are you saying California/Commiefornia wouldn't have let the murder use the "I had a bad childhood" excuse to weasel out of the death penalty?

I don't have a problem with it either. I'm a firm believer in an eye for an eye. He didn't show his victims any mercy when he chose to take their life, so I don't feel he deserves any either. I also feel the process for putting murderers to death needs to be sped up so taxpayers aren't victims of their actions as well.

I'm all for the death penalty. Not just as a means of carrying out the ultimate justice and sending a message to other wouldbe murderers, but for public safety.

Yeah, think about all of the prison breaks we have every year...

"If you kill, you will be killed." Sounds hypocritical...

Actually its more like "if you commit 1st degree murder you, will be executed". Because if you kill a burglar, kill someone while defending your life or some one else you will not be punished. If you kill someone while in a fight or while drunk driving you will be punished but you will not be executed.

Thank you for that recorded massage.

I abhor Lima beans, and feel they should be similarly banned.

Please note that my call for a prohibition would be far less damaging than thine.
