The reall objective of Krew Obama. Now they can say, in 2012, "We killed your jobs, but we were johnny on the spot with the food stamps. See how much better we did?"

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Enrollment in the major U.S. antihunger program, food stamps, grew by 1.2 million people in two months and stands at a record 33.8 million people, the government said on Wednesday.

Food stamps helped one in nine Americans buy groceries during April, according to Agriculture Department figures. The average benefit of $133.28 per person was up $40 due to a short-term increase under the economic stimulus package.

Boy, now THAT'S called job creation! Wouldn't you say, NextEra?

Yeah they should do the conservative method and leave people on the streets to die without help, that's soooooo much better.

yeah, because death from starvation used to be a huge problem in this country but is so much better today because of your big beautiful heart.

It's a whole lot less because of social programs. But again, maybe we should just have a mentality of "I've got mine, who gives a **** about anyone else?"

The social program isn't considered important enough to work without government force. Good thing you smart people are protecting society from us monsters. You're like a saint really. A modern day Robin Hood.

Well you could always leave America if you feel you are under such force. I mean you could consider such plush places as China, Iran, or NK if you'd like.

We wouldn't want you to feel forced and oppressed now here in America. :rofl

Now why would I leave a country full of saints such as yourself that protect us from the monsters allowing all those people to die of starvation?

That and the fact that you know damn well you are not that oppressed or forced. You obvisouly are able to complain about it on the internet which is more than other countries.

But damn that liberal mindset and all.

you know damn well conservatives don't support people dying in the streets.

If you are going to dumb down a conversation to such extremes, don't be surprised when it is reciprocated

If they don't support people dying on the streets, then they don't oppose social programs to help people from dying on the streets.

We support voluntary social programs. Food banks, churches, and extended families taking care of each other.

The point you missed is that you apparently don't think enough people will willingly help a fellow man that you just force it upon everyone. Apparently you know so much, yet have so little respect for your fellow man, that you find it ok to force them to see things your way.

Completely agree. The right thinks all those people have boot straps to pull up, now don't they?

Oh boo hoo you oppressed wunderkind. The whining in America astounds me.

Take a look around. You're damn right I have very little faith in my fellow man.

Here's a good example. Congress is supposed to work for the people right? Does it? No. Does the president? No.

Are corporations concerned about their fellow man? Nope, they are concerned with what can pass legally while they make a profit and skirt that line as closely as they can. If it helps man and they make a profit, they consider that good. But profits are what concerns them.

Is the media, left or right concerned about man? No, they are concerned about viewers and how to get them.

You're absolutely right I have very little faith in man in this day and age.

Next question?

EDIT: I think if there was a snowballs chance in hell of corporations overturning every employees right's bill that has ever been passed, we would have underage under min wage people working in a feudal system right now.

This is the best part though.

you have so little faith in people that you allow the government to possess more and more power. Now remind me again who is responsible to rein in the government and make sure they actually use this power wisely.

The logical fallacy of your entire world outlook would be hilarious if it wasn't so amazing stupid and damaging.

I'm not crying, I'm pointing out why your position is asinine.

1) people can't be trusted to do the right thing. They are either stupid or monsters

2) To solve this, we allow government to make people do the right thing

3) Please ignore #1 as it relates to #2

Sorry but yes, I have a problem with people not doing the right thing for the right reasons. Instead they need a government telling them at times what is right or wrong via regulations.

We have regulations to tell companies they can't work minors 40 hours a week.

We have regulations saying we can't have corporations testing on children or other people.

Wake up!

We have regulations saying you can't have sex with 10 year olds.

Yes, we have regulations. You're world, is that there are no government regulations and the people do what they are supposed to. That is Utopia and a fantasy world.

In my world, regulations need to be scoped properly. We surely don't need federal regulations dealing with these issues any more then we need to go invade Mexico and force them to do "the right thing".

Walmart was the first one to get truckloads of water and supplies down to New Orleans.

And of course in YOUR WORLD, you are right above others correct?

You may disagree with many of the things I agree with, and that's fine, but yes regulation is necessary.

we disagree on what needs to be regulated and how much. Again, that is fine.

Who gets to decide the definition of "the right thing"?

The right thing I need to do is make sure me and mine get fat and happy.

Since I have absolutely zero responsibility for others, it's wrong to compel me to provide for them. It's so wrong, in fact, that guns are needed to make it happen.

Since your definition of "the right thing" requires that greedy strangers wave their guns in my face, threaten me with jail, and otherwise endanger me, there's something wrong with your world view.

Sooo?

Does that mean Wal-Mart is EVERYWHERE? Where is Wal-Mart with the average homeless people on the streets? Or the ones that just got layed off and have noway to pay their bills?

Can you say, they got a PR Pump by doing that in New Orleans?

I didn't say corporations don't try to cash out on PR with BIG disasters, but where is Wal-Mart with the average homeless guy starving?

Boy have you bought into the corporate PR. :rofl

In my world, very few things are forced on people, and never because I hold so much contempt for my fellow man as you do.

........and I never open debates by telling people if they don't like it to leave.
