Iranian authorities arrest eight British embassy employees in Tehran

And Obama policy is to sit down and negotiate with such people!

What a massive misjudgement - a bit like his election by the short sighted Dems in the US.

Let's stay with what we know and that is that the Obama administration was going to "sit down" with the Iranians before their behavior became worse. I also will remind everyoen of the truth and that is that president Obama did extend a hand but it was bitten as if the Mullahs and there pet dog the make beleive president are behaving like a pack a rabid dogs.

Methinks the UK will have to respond in some way to this.

It will be interesting to see what they do.

With what money?
What troops?

We are already in two countries, economy ruined, lacking money and we should invade a third country?

You are nuts.

And on OP: I wonder how Britain will respond to this open challenge ....

Maybe Brittain will lead the way this time?

Nevermind <self-edit> :3oops:

Yes we should be going into Iran, Mr. Obama is showing the World how much he lacks in a Backbone.

hahaha NO. We should make sure America is on the right side of history, as Obama is doing... He is sending moral and verbal support to the protestors. But the resistance in Iran would not support ANY military action by the US.... Doing such would only embolden the government forces, and serve as proof that that the West was behind the protests in the first place.

We've had enough Neo-Conservatism for 8 years... Obama is endorsing the right policy, he has supported Iranian protestors and criticized the repression. Blaming him for such is nonsense... NONSENSE

Dan- I guess you don't know much about what a Mite Force is then because if you did then you would understand that we wouldn't be in Iran for more then 24 Hours and that TAC support would render the Iranian Military hopeless allowing for the FREEDOM FIGHTERS to take back there Country.

Your ignoring a lot, assuming a lot, and being overly optimistic... Kind of like Neo-Conservatives in the run-up to Iraq

Except your missing one point I was in Iraq before the war and I sort of might have a better idea on what they had then you do. Also another fact you seemed to be missing I'm not a NEO-CON never have been but by your post tone's I can see you might fall under the Left Wing Whore's of the World Catz.

so let me get this straight... because he is a closet muslim, he does not want to support the muslim freedom fighters who are fighting the muslim hierarchy? This logic is fantastic, I love it

:rofl:rofl:rofl

"The violence perpetrated against them is outrageous. Despite the government's efforts to keep the world from bearing witness to that violence, we see it and we condemn it." -Obama in a joint statement with Merkel, June 28

What is this exactly?

Cool. So was I. I was also at Gettysburg in 1862 and Normandy in 1943.

I'm just kidding... I'll take your word on it...that you were there in 2003.

Actually, I'm a Conservative... And a realist. I don't play with over idealism, trying to send Commandoes on a doomed mission without many objectives or much rationale except emotions about a crackdown... Yes, it's terrible that this is happening. But soldiers aren't toys -.- and sending SF-- or "mite force"-- into the middle of it will accomplish nothing except embolden the government forces argument that Western powers are behind the protests.

"I strongly condemn these unjust actions, and I join with the American people in mourning each and every innocent life that is lost,"
-Obama, June 23rd

Your clearly not doing your research...

I don't think that our German friend goaded him as much as the news and devlopments were unfolding. Also that closet muslin thing doesn't fly to high when both parties inn the Iran dispute are Muslins. Bujt WTH when in gought throw something out !!

I would like to see this resolved, but using military force? Those who suggest it are crazies who would, if given the chance, suicide the United States over an ideology that has already bit the dust because it was unworkable. They have all but bankrupted our nation and spread our troops so thin as to make their readiness for a war on yet another front impossible. Also, Iran is NOT Iraq. This would be no walk to Baghdad. We would lose literally thousands of troops, and to top it off, Iran only has to sink a couple of good sized ships in the Straits of Hormuz, and then we can watch gasoline prices shoot to ten bucks a gallon, as we watch our economy sink faster than the Titanic.

I have only one word to describe what the supporters of an invasion want - Totally freakin' nuts. OK, thats 3 words. Makes me very happy that Bush was in the process of disowning all those Neocon fruitcakes before he stepped down as President.

There is a another type of negotiation that needs to be persued.

Iran's illegally elected government needs to be taught the price of kidnapping people from the British Consulate.

It's time for strict, stern, and rather harsh punishment for Iran's dickhead-tator.

NEWSFLASH!!!! There are a LARGE number of US, British, and French Naval vessels in that area. If Iran tried to interfere with traffic in the Stait of Hormuz, Iran would suffer greatly.

Stop with the bend over and take it nonsense. Iran's illegal government needs a foot up its crooked ass.

And what would you have Obama do, invade Iran?

What's worse is some Republicans and conservatives are just using this as a means to attack the president. That's what is really sad.

Ha ha ha - no carry on Geo. W Bush's policy - at least he understood the true nature of the Iranian leaders and what they are prepared to do - they are even prepared to double crossed their own people!

It is a valid critism of Obama - he hasn't any crudentials on the International stage and he and his ill-throught through policies are now being exposed.

John McCain was right when he said Obama was weak on International affairs - just when America cann't afford to make mistakes - they elect a loose cannon like Obama - what a mistake!

Still only 3 1/2 yrs left before the fool is booted out on his @ss.....

I think you know more about flying planes and weapons capabilities than you do about planning and operations.

I'm just wondering if Scorpion89 was going to educate us all on what a Mite Force is, or if he was going to actually address my points.
