Switchblade law opponents cut in Hill fight

man, just yesterday my 6 year old grandson made a bow and arrow out of willow branches and yarn, and first thing he did was shoot his older sister in the chin....
and no, we didn't confiscate his weapons, but he did have to apologize and promise to be more careful where he pointed it...

But what was he aiming at?

(Rooster Cogburn giving a description of the bad guy..."...blond hair, and has a bullet wound on his upper lip."

"His upper lip, what were you aiming for?"

"His lower lip.")

aim? he was unlikely to hit something he was aiming for....
willow sticks and yarn, you can't get much more primitive than that...

again you lie, Do I need to report you again? what I said was we should never let the stupid be better armed than the average policeman.

Is that in the Constitution?

Nope.

And your average cop isn't very bright.

Ethereal said....
How many genocides, massacres, and wars can be directly attributed to centralized government authorities?

and I said, which did the USA start? StevenB seems to be afraid or OUR government....

Well, there was the Waco, Texas massacre of the Branch Davidians by the Jiggly Attorney General under Clinton.

Damn, boy, lighten up, buy a sense of humor, and rent True Grit, okay?

I give up....
usually a libertarian comes out with SOME intellect, but you cannot ....guess they are desperate and are taking anyone who can breathe...

You can't even find the posts you say I made about goshin, guns and liberalisms.

Still waiting on that, until you do, you are just lying...

Stevenb made a logically valid statement, "why trust the federal government?"

Well, why, when the very existence of the Second Amendment is owed to the fact that the people MAKING the federal government didn't trust their own creation?

Well, you're kinda anti-knife, so I'll guess...fork and spoon, or maybe two sporks.

.22 target pistols, and I am a very good shot with a pistol up to about 50 yards on small targets. Larger targets should run like hell if they think I want to shoot them..
Never was much good with a rifle unless in the prone position, and the back objects to that.
May have to give up the pistols, tho, the hand tremors are getting harder to control. Old age sucks....
If I was to get a long gun, I favor shotguns....you don't have to aim hardly at all with one of those..

Obviously the majority of Americans don't trust the govt, that is why we outed the republicans and installed a bunch of democrats. 8 years from now, we will likely reverse that situation....it is like a bloodless coup.
But the idea of them coming after our guns is a stretch...or maybe the favorite nightmare of paranoid conspiracy nuts...

seen it several times, as well as his other Rooster Cogburn movie (Rooster Cogburn), the one with Katherine Hepburn...the better of the 2 movies IMO.

I don't believe they're coming after our guns... now.

10-15-20 years from now? Maybe. I don't have a crystal ball or any other way of predicting the future.

Hepburn was awesome, as always, but the young girl in True Grit was just too cool.

No, that just means that your average American has become totally stupid.

Nothing special there, it's what decades of socialism and nannyism will do to a culture.

Are you saying that all joe citizens are stupid? or just you? :2razz:
I don't remember Goshin, perhaps you should contact him to help you find what you think I said....if you cannot find it, an apology is in order...

Me? Who? What? Where? Oh...

Heck I don't know. I've corrected so many people who had not one clue what an "assault weapon" was, other than "they were agin' 'em!", that I can't possibly remember them all. Probably in almost every single gun thread I've participated in, which is too many to remember. No idea whether Utah Bill was one of them or not.

Can't let folks run around with them-thar "assault knives" doncha know.

I carry a knife that was originally designed for one-hand opening. I modified it (I like to mess with knives) so that when you pull it out of your pocket (clip), it opens by itself.

It isn't primarily a weapon to me (I carry a gun daily), but a useful tool. When my right hand is occupied with some exacting task like tying off the last line on a weight-pressurized bundle of stuff, and I suddenly realize I need to cut a cord, I can pull the knife left-handed and use it while my other hand is occupied. Saves a lot of bother.

stevenb has confused me with another poster.....I am for gun rights, altho I don't see NEED as much as WANT in some weapons....
as long as people are responsible, have at it.
Now if we can just get the criminals from having access to anything more dangerous than a fingernail clipper......

That is absurd. Pretty much any folding knife can be opened one handed, including perfectly harmless tools like a leatherman or swiss army knife. What the hell are these morons thinking?

The laws against switchblades are not only stupid, they clearly violate the Heller decision
