The White House has accused Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of seeking to blame the US for unrest following Iran's disputed election.

The US replied one day after Mr Ahmadinejad was sharply critical of President Barack Obama for condemning Iranian violence against protesters.

Tehran's leadership has accused foreign governments of fuelling the protests.

G8 foreign ministers meeting in Italy are currently considering a response to the post-election violence in Iran.

War of words

"There are people in Iran who want to make this not about a debate among Iranians in Iran, but about the West and the United States," White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said.

"I would add President Ahmadinejad to that list of people trying to make this about the United States."

He was speaking in response to an angry statement made by Mr Ahmadinejad on Thursday. He told Mr Obama to avoid "interfering in Iran's affairs".

That's great.
Not only does the administration reaffirm its doing nothing and happy to admit it.
Now Gibbs compares the despot to Americans who expect the USA to stand behind Freedom.

How in the hell did Bush get into this? I took the bolded sentence to mean people within Iran.

I'm sure that's what Gibbs was referring to...

Obama blames Bush for everything what would keep him form blaming Bush on Iran?..nothing. So in character Obama would be blaming him and likely Rush Limbaugh and other Americans on the list who agree with the sentiment Gibbs is rejecting.

Who is on the "List"..probably most "Right Wing" Americans...
Gibbs is not going to make a negative in reference to people on a list who politically agree with Obama ....

:doh

Unless you're saying all Conservatives are in Iran? Might want to bring some shades...

Something about this thread is making me think of Mr. Armstrong

Triad, unless you're a mind reader your opinion here is nothing but hyper partisan hogwash with absolutely ZERO actual basis in anything factual to prove it.

Well Rush is certainly on that list. But maybe all the other anti-Americans around the world that blame us for everything. In my opinion, YOUR on that list Triad.

Ok all you big talkers.

1.The list...display it now. Whose on that list..I want names.

2. Tell everyone exactly what he meant how you came about this conclusion..I also want links supporting it.

Otherwise..use the lil common sense 3 of you can rub together to make a thought and TRY HARDER.

According to your own rules you just partaked in flaming and trolling.

I provided an article with quotes..none of you provided anything but at all.
SO until you do I'll assume your talking out your ass..

Then you're a moron because your own quotes shot down your argument. Gibbs specifically said PEOPLE IN IRAN who want to make it about the United States. So unless Michael Steele has recently located the RNC headquarters to Tehran, he wasn't referring to any Americans.

You still have you replied to my quote answer (which is basically what everybody else has been saying).

Therefore, if you don't answer within twenty-four hours, I declare myself the victor of this argument. (Yes I know you're Temp-Suspended ;)).

Its clearly a hypothetical list.

But DAMN! WHY DID YOU HAVE TO GET YOURSELF SUSPENDED!
I liked debating with you, your arguments were against yourself most of the time. You were the only American hating American on here. What a shame.

How many Western spies are receiving money from the West? Western authorized counterfieters? Isn't it easier to let spies counterfeit money, rather than pay them directly?
