I've got to say, cheating on your wife is one thing, but to miss father's day with your kids in order to do it is pretty low.


But it seems to me this guy wanted to get caught.

See, that is called evidence.

Now answer me this: how is his ability to govern at all affected by who he sleeps with? If anything he is less prone to blackmail now that his actions are known.

As a member of my party, I would point out that I have been consistent that the sex lives of politicians should be off limits to reporters...

Please clarify, You suggested that its not a problem to be a cheating dirtbag if you are part of a group that does not have the family values platform.

Like any other dirt bag who cheats on the one they swore to to love and honor and respect he deserves what ever he gets from now on. Like too many others on all sides marriage vows mean nothing any more, and saying I love you means even less to many. Here is a prime candidate for removal from office not because of the tryst but because of the dereliction of duty which is a breach of the oath of office and makes trust in his judgment extremely problematical.
His affair is between his wife his God if he has one and himself, and other than the condemnation he deserves from the public it's a private matter after he's thrown out of office.

I dislike cheats, I also dislike people who use a family values stance to aid their election to office, then cheat,sadly and unfairly that in the eye's of the great unwashed re-enforces their view that most politicians cannot be trusted.

"family Values stance" is used by all politicians. not just republicans. And it's irrellevant if you believe that we are all sinners.


Does the suggestion that family values=republicans, make it worse what he did, (apparently his wife and childeren knew about this affair for 5 months) than what Bill clinton did?



I think this "family values" argument is a lame attack on "the other side".

Again, this is your rather unsophisticated mischaracterization of my comments. But I truly do appreciate your interest! :2wave:

My remarks about the "family values set" was the hypocritical kicker to the whole shebang. The man (a) abandons his offices, (b) abandons his family,(c) on father's day, no less, to (d) go somewhere unknown for an undetermined amount of time, to (e) do unmentionable things to someone that isn't his spouse.

The man's an utter loser and has completely trashed his political future and personal life with this one stunt.

Cheating on a spouse is crap, whomever does it (Clinton included). It's just crappier crap when the person doing the cheating is a member of the "family values" party.
