France considers banning the burqa

NO. this infringement will bare into insignificance, because who will notice?

The last time i looked Catholics didn't have a sign imprinted on there forehead, or wore distinguishing clothes.

Paul
What about catholics who get the ashes on Ash Wednesday? You gonna stand at the door to the cathedral with a bar of secular soap?

So you have no logic and you just hate Muslims and want to impose your personal will on them just for spite, got it.

Wrong. I,m championing the oppressed, majority/minority

Paul

Where in France is this hotbed of Islamic repression? Are French muslim men running around stapling burqas to their womens' heads?

STOP missing the point. Centuries of oppression effect the psyche of migrant populace [colonized french] just as much as McDonald's is healthy to 80% of Americans.

Paul

How is someone oppressed when the CHOOSE to wear it?

I,m not familiar with your lingo, but i,ll try,

You enter kindergarten and are taught....

you enter first grade and are taught......

skip a few a years you progress.....

You end up a rounded, non bigoted all American beauty!!

Be glad to stop missing the point just as soon as you give me a point to stop missing.

Although you intrigue me. I thought the Islamic attempts to colonize (conquer) France ended at the Battle of Tours. Is there some Islamic incursion into France I overlooked?

More importantly, McDonald's is now healthy? KEWL!!!!! (runs out to snarf down a Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese!)

I think so. You don't want TNE to wear a burqa and you want him to flash his pretty li'l eyes at you.

Sarkozy is from a right-wing stand point. The French proclaim secularist ideology and are staunch believers in 'there way or the highway' hence there lack of support for the war on terror, although this contradicts the legislation we are discussing.

:confused::confused::confused:

What does that have to do with burqa-wearing Islamic minority women repressing the majority of cheeseburger-snarfing Frenchmen?

Get over it already, i think that's the expression.

I do not hate Muslims, just understand them.

The French do as they please.

If you are wanting to ban Burqa's you don't understand any Muslim.

You just want to force your values over everyone else even when they don't want you to.

What's next? You gonna force them to eat pork too?

The French do as they please.
Yes they do....rather arrogant and obnoxious of them, actually.

Only....how does someone who does as he pleases get oppressed by a woman in a burqa?

Only....how does someone who does as he pleases get oppressed by a woman in a burqa?

Rather, how does anyone who does as he/she pleases get oppressed by anything?

And fear being oppressed by their burqas.

Not fear. A Lot of the female community feel inhibited with the constraints of restrictive dress.

Paul

How do you have an oppressed majority?

1) Saddam Hussein's Iraq.

2) Bahrain

In both cases the Shia are the majority. The Shia and the Sunni struggle for the soul of Islam and with the Saudi princes acting as Caliphs' the Shia have (had) been contained even with them being the majority.
