ABC News Teams Up With Obama White House to Present President's Health Care Plan

No Michael Moore is gross. Obama only likes beautiful people. I'd be more shocked by the presence of Michael Moore than I would be by Obama's pants literally ripping at the seam as winged unicorns in rainbow colors flew out of his bunghole during the special.
:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl

Well to be fair I'm hardly the first to associate Obama with rainbow colored unicorns.

Really? I am learning so much new stuff today, I love it.

Surely you didn't miss the jibjab video on youtube? Youtube is better than fox, cnn, and msnbc put together.

I had about 10 really thin months where things like internet and cable TV where luxuries I could not afford, so I missed alot of the good stuff like that. My post count is also a whole lot lower than it would be if not for that,

I watch fox news though...

I understand your concern(and I am quick to point out I am not one of those people of whom you refer), I think that if Bush had made this offer, ABC would have picked it up. It's just Obama is the one who thought of it.

Its not even Obama I'm really upset about. Its hard to really blame a guy that's just taking advantage of the situation. This is far more a condemnation on the media whose just became utter and complete whores, and in smaller part those on the left who are acting like utter and completely hypocrites (and as you said above, you don't seem to be one)

What would you suggest be done?

Also, I like the dubbed version better...

Its hard to really say. Its going to need to come from the American Population though, so I don't hold much hope. These are the same people that make lines at supermarkets littered with tabloids. :\

No it absolutely was not like this with Bush. I think even with Clinton it was obvious the guy had charisma but I've never seen the media fawn over any politician to the extent that they fawn over Obama. It is nauseating and freaky.

It's like we're a bunch of airheads, the journalists are airheads, and we're all sitting around stoned saying dumb **** like, "Dude he killed a fly, he's an f-ing ninja. He's so cool."

It is bizarre.

Stop freaking out and get over it already. So you're of the opinion that the media is in love with Obama. Obviously that hasn't changed your opinion of the man or his policies so what's to be afraid of? Do you think that you're so vastly superior to the rest of America that they aren't able to filter the fluff out of the news like you are? Somehow I doubt it.

Feelings run high when talking about the Obama's. Same as with the Bush. I believe EVERYBODY was in love with Bush after 9/11, he enjoyed a 90% approval rating. Things can change with time, take a freaking breath already.

I think she is vastly superior to most of America, even is she is a conservative.

I'm rather surprised that its not NBC since the head of GE is so far up Obama's rear in eyeing profits off this. Daschle is on their board now for a reason..

Regardless I won't watch it and I hope the message gets out that its basically a PR ad for Obama being aided by ABC. Its clear that people are getting tired of Obama "ads" "speechs" etc.

I agree. and moreso in just a "token" way. ;)

Your Militant defense of this Obamathon atrocity is noted.

Well we do need to watch it before putting a message out regarding its content. I'm interested in the format and all and of course if it is pure unadulterated propaganda complete with music I can hate on it comfortable in the knowledge that I know what I'm hatin' on.

As a matter of pure policy and procedure though I do prefer the President address the nation and hold press briefings vs. specials but there's always the remote possibility that the special will change my mind.

Yes, deep down I do. I take pride in never baa baa baaing.

The mere fact that we are debating politics of our own free will testifies to the fact that we care more about politics than the average American. Yes, I do believe that she is superior in the sense that she actually pays attention to what is being said instead of going with the crowd based on publicity or blindly listening to what the media says.

Try talking politics to some friends and see the reaction you get. I always get the feeling that they're like "what's wrong with this guy" and "who cares." I tend not to talk about politics with my friends much accordingly, though there are a few who actually enjoy it like I do.

I heard that Charlie Gibson will be wearing knee pads and a blue dress for the interview.

That's exactly what Fox News did........ but without the honesty.

Fox never, ever allowed anyone on that was critical of the war???

You obviously have never, ever watched Fox News.

Well we will see how it goes. I heard he is going to also be on Good Morning America that morning and than also have the hour long special later. A speech is different from a special in that a speech is just the nuts and bolts with no fancy whistles. A special can come complete with bells and whistles. Given the rock star status Obama already receives I'm wary of him suddenly running infomercials. It was bad enough when he had his own channel during the campaign.

Obama is on tv so much it actually startles me. Did anyone see that press briefing where Obama just popped in to talk about the retiring Souter? I thought that was a little weird. And everyone ooohd and aaaahd about his surprise presence. Last night I swear I saw coverage of Obama killing a fly. I have no idea who was interviewing him or what he was talking about. But I know the guy rocks so hard and is so cool he can snatch a fly out of the air, crush it, and fling it to the floor. Oh and the report also mentioned that he's a good boy and cleans up after himself to. Apparently after the interview was over - who knows what was said in the interview (not key to the story?) Obama picked the fly up off the floor to throw it in the trash.

My God, WTF is happening to us? I hope we snap out of it.

My God, a president that actually speaks to the public on a regular basis. Give me a break and stop the right wing insanity here.

He's still giving campaign speeches. He knows that people like his voice and so it's the only way to keep his approval ratings up since he knows his policies aren't going to do it.
