Claims of student massacre spread

We rolled a natural 20 in our revolution. Though this really is off topic now.

The point was to say that it is possible to successfully revolt against a technologically superior force and that is aided by having the tools necessary for revolt. Iran has an educated populace and a desire for some form of actual democracy, if there is a country in the ME ripe for revolution and the establishment of as near a Western style democracy as could naturally evolve in the area; Iran is where it's at. This election and the atrocities the Iranian government is taking against its people highlights the necessity for revolution in Iran.

We did not kick the King off his throne. Their technology was not far superior. If the Kingdom hadn't been fracturing by revolts across her realm, then we would face severe attrition.

I am fairly confident in the Iranian citizen's ability to revolt against their rulers.

A Chinese revolution would be too much damaging to international trade for it to sit well on the Western tongue.

Good lord you gun nuts can use anything to push your agenda. That is just sad.

You think it's nutty for the citizenry to be able to defend itself against the tyranny of the state? The difference between an armed an unarmed populace is the difference between freedom and slavery.

Let me give you a hint: a country with tanks and a military is not going to be slowed down much by a few people with rifles.

Ya I bet that's what the British said circa 1776. "They're just a bunch of farmers with rifles, we have heavy cavalry and the largest military in the world."

The Chinese People did rise up once. It was in 1911 and it was called The Cultural Revolution...under Mao Zedong.

Take down one tyrant, and replace it with another. That's the way the world has always worked.

You're serious aren't you? Cultural Revolution in 1911? Somebody needs to buy a history book.

Completely different. A rifle against heavy cavalry is of some effect. Rifles against tanks and military jet's and modern military hardware and training is of no effect.

The modern equivalent of the simple rifle would be the Javelin and the Stinger missile system, we loose a few thousand of those in Iran and their obsolete jets and tanks won't mean **** especially with the new Javelin and Stingers with the salt water suppressors to allow them to be fired from a confined space without ones heart exploding from the concussion.
