(AP) South Korean protesters scuffle with police officers as they try to enter former President Kim...
SEOUL, South Korea (AP) - North Korea's communist regime has warned of a nuclear war on the Korean peninsula while vowing to step up its atomic bomb-making program in defiance of new U.N. sanctions.
The North's defiance presents a growing diplomatic headache for President Barack Obama as he prepares for talks Tuesday with his South Korean counterpart on the North's missile and nuclear programs.
South Korean President Lee Myung-bak told security-related ministers during an unscheduled meeting Sunday to "resolutely and squarely" cope with the North's latest threat, his office said. Lee is to leave for the U.S. on Monday morning.

Well, let's see if Obama can grow a pair. I don't remember NK talking like this while Bush was in office.

Well, let's see then.

I don't think the Obama administration will allow a nuclear rwar in the Asia-Land.

Too many Monies.

Keep one eye on Iran.

Keep one eye on Iran.

We should let Israel keep more than an eye on the Iranians. Though I am hopeful by the rebellious temper of the citizens that the Ahamajeinahadaenian Wall is falling.

You really think Obama can allow or not allow war in places?

Wow...

I really doubt Obama or any world leader will do anything that they are not currently doing. Nothing new has come out of this. North Korea is just flapping its gums now that it has a few nukes. They won't do anything though unless they can get allies that can hold their own.

It begs the question though. What do you think Obama should do in response to this that isn't already being done?

I do love the mentality. N Korea does something under Bush's watch and it's Clinton's fault. North Korea does something under Obama's watch and it's Obama's fault.

Wow...

As the Commander in Chief of the most powerful military humanity has ever seen, I think he can allow or not allow a nuclear war.

Oh?

How?

OH! That's right.

He can APOLOGIZE. That is the amazing skill your Messiah has demonstrated in foreign policy so far, a skill that outmatches any other sixteen previous presidents combined.

Militaries fight wars.

Politicians decide when and where to have them.

Maybe they were not talking exactly like that but do you think that they made all their "advances" in missles and Nukes since JAN 21, 2009 ?

It might be time for North Korea to become a memory. I am tired of Kim Jong Ill and his tard government.

NK can shut up, stop making nukes, release the journalists they are holding hostage, and behave... or ... they can face their own destruction.

I wonder how long the free world will remain apathetic to the fact that we are slowing coming to the point where even the tiniest of countries can kill billions of people by the push of a button.

No, Clinton got them started. Bush gave them nothing.

Considering that we are involved in one necessary war and also in Iraq right now I do not think that we have the men or material to pursue another ground war. The only feasible war that we can pursue is air strikes and tactical nukes. But that would produce a residual and drifting radiation danger to the South Koreans.

We might be better off just taking oout hier nukes and missle facilities with conventional weapons followed by a tight and complete naval blockade. We would need t punish all land transportation along the Chinese border with extreme prejudice.

WTF are you talking about ?? What did Clinton "give" them ? Rice ! Wheat?
Are you saying that they made nuclear reactors and missles with wheat thins and rice crispies !!!

You we should listen to them Liberal fellars about nulear proliferation !!

I don't see your point though.
Merely that having a sizable or capable military has no influence on whether there is or is not a war, or whether that war goes nuclear.
