Just for the record -- It appears that Truth Detector has ducked out of the thread.

I suggested we go point-by-point on a number of quotes of mine that he claimed proved me left-leaning. I asked several questions concerning the first 'point' he made. He has not answered.

Just goes to show -- Trolls are not always newbies.

I think you should simply disregard TD instead of getting dragged down into his ****fests. I made an error yesterday by even engaging him. I would suggest that you not repeat my mistake. Yeah, it's ****ed up to have to see the **** he spews on the screen when you scroll through, but I think if we don't encourage it by giving him any attention at all.

I don't recall wanting to attack you over the internet, so presumably you didn't butcher my meaning or anything.

As for Scarecrow... don't pay attention. He and Celticlord (most vocal in their positions that I've seen) live to Obama-bash, and the latter is far more reasonable-sounding when he does so. In politics, even clocks like S.A. are right half the time, but defending Palin's intelligence and asserting that Letterman's jokes were a media conspiracy is swimming in the deep end of the pool with a bloody nose after piranhas have been released.

I don't like Obama much, and I can think of Democrats and Republicans who would have done his job better (though the latter would have been hampered by the Scarecrows of their party), but he's not the worst thing that ever happened to the country and the hope (if not the change) he brought to the country will be a useful footnote in future elections if he inspires a decent minority of the population to get in shape, eat healthy and stop ripping the Earth limb from limb.

Dang, did I just go off-topic, but then again this thread isn't about a fired teacher anymore anyway.

As with most of your uninformed diatribe, you would be wrong; the debate over your proclaimed "conservative" credentials ended when you admitted voting for Obama; one the most naive, unqualified, Socialist President in our history.

...Conservative is an ideology, not a party. Being a Conservative doesn't imply a Republican vote. Ever heard of a "Blue-Dog Democrat". Probably not. It's a Democrat who has conservative leanings.

What's more, Hazlnut never claimed to be a conservative. He says he is a moderate. Pssst...that means his ideology doesn't have for all intents and purposes its own candidate, so he can vote for who he believes is the most correct. I would more place his ideology a milimeter left of center and that is after reading some of his posts, not based on his voting choices.

This was a thread I was subscribed to and I didn't want that guy to end the thread with a false characterization of me.
