Trump, announced today the termination of Carrie Prejean as Miss California USA 2009, citing continued breach of contract issues," the Miss California Organization said in a statement to Access Hollywood."

Somehow I expect Ms. Martyr herself to claim that she is being persecuted because of her views, rather than accept the fact that she has contractual obligations that she is required to adhere to.

She hasn't made any such statement. If she wasn't adhering to her duties, then she should lose her title. That doesn't excuse how she was treated prior to this, however.

With regard to her persecution (that's what it was) during the contest, it was shameless. It was a blatant hit job and completely classless. It was a case of character assassination because she pissed someone off, after she was (in my opinion) set up.

(1) The question asked of her and her answer - I'm not a fan of Perez Hilton. In fact, I really have no idea even who he is. Maybe it was a loaded question/maybe not, her answer, controversial or not, was actually quite pathetic, regardless of whether you agreed with her position or not.

(2) The aftermath - She immediately ran to the press and began claiming that the only reason she lost was because of her answer. She then went on the talk show circuit promoting herself as Ms. "Family Values" and the poster child martyr for the anti-gay marriage crowd. They started promoting her as the high-horse of morality....except....whoops.....she wasn't....and the hypocrisy was exposed.

The moral of the story is this:
