I know "facts" hold little charm for a lot of wingnuts, but the FACTS are that right wing extremists have been ATTEMPTING TO RECRUIT returning vets, not that vets are terrorists. See, Limbaugh "forgot" to tell you what the report actually SAID... he just told you want he wanted you to THINK about it.

The report said that vets were susceptable to being recruited for a myriad of reasons.

On the off chance that some people here might want to be accurate in their respective ideological spitballs and avoid the typical official talking points trees created by DNC/RNC love spats, Neo-Nazis, skinheads, whatever flavor, refer to themselves as 'Third Positionists', i.e. their ideology doesn't adhere to traditional left wing-right wing labeling, and any familiarity with their politics, at least those of them that are literate, tends to support this fact. A simple visit to their sites would make this immediately obvious; they loathe the 'right wing' probably even more than they loathe the left wing.

Also, I would like to remind the talk radio fans that the 'communists' didn't invent the 'Left', and they don't own it. Most 'Leftists' are far more likely to base their political beliefs on the New Testament, and have never read Marx, JFYI. Yes, I know this will annoy Democrats, too, but hey, that's just the way it is.

I understand the general point meant, but in real life 'hippies spitting on vets' was extremely rare, and in fact the only recorded instance of it over the entire decade and a half or so of the war by the media was William Buckley's earnest little YAF'ers at the Republican Convention in Miami that renominated Richard Nixon spitting on anti-war veterans ...

Sounds like a few libertarians I know. Well just one actually. But eh. The similarities in phrasing are striking. Specially the part in bold. I can't count on my hand how many libertarians I see on this forum screaming about freedoms and liberties incessantly. But the way this is phrased....hmmmmm....

Instead of talking about the buses you fix for a living why don't you look up which side of the ideological scale Nazism was on. We've already had this debate with Aquapub. And the outcome? Nazism is squarely on the right wing.

I remember that debate. Aqua claimed that fascism was left wing extremism. I quoted the father of fascism, Mussolini (who aqua had quoted, also), making it clear that fascism was right wing extremism. After his usual insulting, aqua vacated the thread.
