Army Recruiter Killed In Little Rock Shooting

I don't agree with death penalty so no thanks.
Nor Guantanmo Bay, he murdered yes. But do we send every murderer to Guantanmo bay? No. We put them in jail.

Why are people getting religious scripture in jails? Ban all religious items?? Stop Imams going in?

The jihadist in GITMO have Qurans.

The jihadist in GITMO have Qurans.

Well they are nuts already, they can keep it.
Not like they'll be released and if they are, they'd probably be chipped and tagged.

Why do people have Qu'rans/Bibles etc. in jails?
Jails are supposed to be punishment not 'find God' time

Actually, religion is a good tool towards keeping prisoners calm and nonviolent. Prison guards love inmates who find god, as they tend to be less trouble.

Tell that to ACLU.

Civil liberties ... figures.

Hey now, don't be badmouthing the ACLU. I donated money to them when I was in the Navy.

Actually they are more for rehabilitation, I don't want to pay for someone to be "punished", and there is little wrong in many situations for them to find a religion if they wish. Sometimes they become fanatics but often it can actually help them in the future and help them to integrate back into society. Ministering to prisoners is an ancient Christian practice.

Not if it leads them to going nuts and shooting people when they leave ...

A rather minor risk to ban such a thing that can oftentimes help prisoners to turn their lives around.

Maybe, maybe not.

I'd rather just a ban but i know it'll never happen

Don't understand why some people are comparing this to the murder of an abortion doctor. True, both are terrorist attacks, but they are different cases entirely, and the murders are for different reasons. But both cases have one factor in common, and that is the rule of law. The killers in both cases will end up getting the death penalty, and that works for me.

Each of these recruitment offices needs armed security.

Why? So a few people in prison who become religious become extremists? Why remove the ability of all others to read scriptures. It seems silly to me, even if it didn't help some to become rehabilitated.

Do not expect to see this story in the mainstream media.

BS, they talk about it even in French newspapers

Etats-Unis : fusillade devant un centre de recrutement de l'armée - Amériques - Le Monde.fr

If you do it wont last more than a few days and then it will be dropped unlike the story of the child killer Dr George Tiller which will remain in the news for months. Kept alive by the pro-choice media. Meanwhile this story will be buried asap. Its a sickening twisted backwards time we live in.

What is sickening is to use the murder of someone for an agenda. It has nothing to do with the murder of Tiller.

RIP

To be fair it did just look like a throw away comment.

There are thousands and thousands of murders every week in the USA, it's impossible to talk about all of them during weeks. It's sad, but a newspaper is not a giant funeral notice. There must be informations.

Here, one soldier has been killed, it's sad but there is not much to debate about it, so it's not considered as an important event (but many newspapers still talk about it)

While the murder of the doctor was more symbolic of the violence of certain "pro lifes". Just look at how that thread finished!

Well the main debate is that it seems to have been carried out by a Jihadist, which makes it somewhat unusual.

Its happening with greater frequency.

The murder of this soldier by a man bent on jihad here on American soil is symbolic of the continuing threat of muslim extremism. Why is this soldiers murder any less important than the murder of a doctor who preformed late term abortions?

This isn't just an average murder this was a targeted assassination of U.S. military personnel on U.S. soil by a member of the Global Jihad.

Hatuey, the murder of an Army recruiter in Little Rock was never mentioned on the CBS Evening News or on CNN, and I watch both of them. Most people still get their news from TV, not the Internet, and the Tiller case has received prominent mention on both for days. The day it happened, it was the lead story on both networks. But run a Google News search and you'll find that Internet stories about this case are outnumbered by stories about the Tiller murder by a margin of about 20-to-1.

We al know that military people are killed every day by accidents. What should make this a story is that this soldier got murdered for a whacked out jihad idea.

A drive by shooting today at a Little Rock Arkansas recruiting station resulted in the death of one soilder and the wounding of another. The shooter Abdulhakim Margahid Muhammad opened fire on the soldiers as they stood out front. He was specifically targeting military personnel. Police stoped the man after a brief chase. They found 3 weapons in his vehicle then searched his apartment and removed evidence related to the murder.
