Scott Roeder held as 'Person of Interest' for Tiller Murder

After they denounce Roeder's actions you want to label them terrorists. ****ing grow up.

No, American, if you read the post in reference to the Administrative assistant, I believe it is THEY who need to "****ING GROW UP".

Nobody should have to put up with that type of bull****.

Operation Rescue released a statement attributable to Troy Newman, released June 1, 2009: "Scott Roeder has never been a member, contributor, or volunteer with Operation Rescue. Mr. Roeder may have posted to our open blog web site, as have thousands of members of the public, including those with pro-abortion views, but he is not affiliated with this organization. We deplore the criminal actions with which Mr. Roeder is accused. The pro-life ethic is to value all human life from the moment of conception until natural death. Operation Rescue has diligently and successfully worked for years through peaceful, legal means, and through the proper channels to see to it that abortionists around the nation are brought to justice. Without due process, there can be no justice. In spite of these horrific events, we remain dedicated to working through all peaceful and legal means available to bring an end to the killing of innocent children through abortion."[

When you try and use terror to enforce your will, as in the case I linked, I think that pretty clearly makes you a terrorist organization.

Apparently you didn't read the Red Dress wearing Michigan man's post.

Red Dress Wearer's Source said:
The letter arrived on a Tuesday in march. "Dear Sara," it read. "It is our information that you are currently an employee of Women's Health Care Services, a facility that provides abortions." It went on to suggest that Sara Phares, an administrative assistant at the clinic in Wichita, Kansas, quit her job and repent her sins. "Please know that we are praying for you," the letter concluded. It was signed "Troy Newman, President, Operation Rescue West." A week later, hundreds of Phares' neighbors received an anonymous postcard of a mangled fetus. This is abortion! read the big block letters. "Your neighbor Sara Phares participates in killing babies like these." The postcard implored them to call Phares, whose phone number and address were provided, and voice their opposition to her work at the clinic. Another card soon followed. It referred to Phares as "Miss I Help to Kill Little Babies" and suggested, in an erratic typeface that recalled a kidnapper's ransom note, that neighbors "beg her to quit, pretty please." The third postcard dispensed entirely with pleasantries: "Sara Phares is not to be trusted! Tell her to get a life!"

Yep, if they sound like a terrorist and threaten like a terrorist and intimidate like a terrorist...

The truth hurts.

Obviously, Redress being a big fat liberal (who obviously supports abortions) didn't bother to indicate his jest in his original post, which brought on a question by another poster. That's not my problem.

You didn't bother to read their statement denouncing the murder did you?

So, your not going to address the issue of those despicable actions taken by the group you are standing up for?

That seems to me like a clear cut case of harassment. It's not terrorism. But still. Going to the lengths of finding out where somebody lives just so you can mail stuff to their neighbors and make them social pariahs? Bitch move.

I would argue that they are trying to terrify the woman. So by my definition, it would count as terrorism.

Operation rescue stated that "Tiller was a mass murder". They distanced themselves from his murder but they did not renounce the murder.

Exactly.

To 'distance' is political move that has little or no real meaning. It's like hiding the dirty laundry.

To sincerely denounce or condemn is something different--and words are really not enough.

Here's a TO DO list for Operation Rescue.

1) Offer full cooperation with investigators for starters.

2) Make a contribution to Tiller's church.

3) Get any old pamphlets and literature that can be read in as advocating violence out of circulation.

4) Denounce violent or unlawful acts of any kind.

5) Stop trying to push the protest envelope, seeing how much you can get away with. We get the message--you are really against abortions.

No death penalty for Roeder.

Kansas law requires that special circumstances exist for a defendant to be eligible for the death penalty. Such circumstances include the killing of a law officer, more than one person or a victim kidnapped for ransom or rape, or killed in murder for hire.

Yeah but they also require special circumstances for abortions after 22 weeks, and they're pretty lax on enforcing it.

We're talking about what they said about this particular situation. If you want to go beyond that, start your own thread. Then we can also make broad statements about what a lot of people have done.

Abortions on 10 year old girls who were raped, abortions at 22 weeks when it is discovered the fetus is a monster, these were the types of cases accepted by Dr. Tiller. If you can show any evidence that he aborted late term babies simply because the mother changed her mind, please reveal your proof.
