The US government has been out of money for quite some time now. When you have no money and you are borrowing, you are out of money. You are then completely operating on credit. That is what Obama was saying.

Bankruptcy is looking like a better and better idea by the day.

1. Edison wasn't that great of an inventor. He was far better at stealing/buying others' patents than actually inventing everything himself. He was also a pretty big asshole.

Bush spent a ton of money, which royally sucks for republicans, but he also kept the US safe. After 9/11 the US was scared ****less. They didnt know who would hit 'em next. Now, 7 years later, not a government or organization in the world, save the Iranians with something to prove, would strike the US on American soil. Bush showed the world the US IS NOT A PACIFIST SUPERPOWER AND WONT ROLL OVER AND TAKE IT!

If the United States, the worlds last Superpower, rolls over and takes a terrorist attack on its soil how does that make it look???
The United States, wether they like it or not, must lead the war on terror. Not only did they start it but they are the only country that can end it.

I mean the one that expanded the Earned Income Tax Credit, created the Direct Student Loan Program, and created the Empowerment Zones and Enterprise Communities, passed tax cuts for small businesses, and cut $400 billion from the budget. Along with this taxes were increased from 36 to 39 percent and the 35% tax rate for corporations was created.

Here is the problem I have with what you said. For 8 years, Republicans pointed the finger at Bill Clinton whenever they were scrutinized. I called the disorder Clinton Penis Envy. But Bush, for all the damage he did, is no longer in office. Are Democrats taking a liking to Bush's penis, as Republicans did for Clinton's? :mrgreen:

The bailouts were already through. What Obama did was receive the rest of the bailout funds that were already approved under Bush.

Look I don't agree with the bailouts in the slightest. I think these companies should be able to rise and fall with the free market. What I don't agree with is this ludicrous notion that Obama, in his first 100 days of office, single-handedly drove America into 11 Trillion dollars of debt. People in thise thread are sourcing projects that are currently nothing but rhetoric, like the Trillion dollar health care plan, as reasons for the debt. It's ridiculous.

Bush approved 800 plus billion. Our presidential token Barry, approved 800 plus billion. Now correct me if I`m wrong there spinster, but thats two bumbass presidents in a row, spending ungodly amounts of money to fatten up the money whores of America, and to hell with the rest of us ???
