I disagree. Politically from a strategy stand point it was stupid. Yes, you have to be "all Pc about it" to be offended. However, many people simply ARE PC. Neither party wins JUST with their base, part of it is getting the middle and those on the other side to cross over. Some of those people are likely PC. If you could say the exact same thing with a slightly different word that would've been more politically intelligent.

its not "OMG He's an idiot!" type stupidity, but it wasn't an intelligent thing to say in the scope of political strategy. This is the case with both a Rep or Dem saying it, as BOTH sides have NO qualms spinning and distorting and over reacting to what the other side says.

What a trite and silly argument that only be expressed in a vacuum of reality; so in other words, the terrorist thugs who are trying to de-rail Iraqi Democracy and the will of it's people are NOT to blame for those deaths, Bush is!

You know, I find this amazing from anyone who spent any time in the Military because it requires the willful suspension of disbelief that you joined the armed forces thinking that as a member of the Military, you were actually joining a PEACE Corps and would never have to be called upon to put your life at risk defending this nations policies.

It also requires the willful suspension of disbelief that members of these forces do not overwhelmingly welcome the idea of actually USING the tools of their trade in actual missions instead of parading around the parade ground, playing war and picking up trash.

How long did you serve and what was your particular unit? Why did you ever join?

As for Carter, he may have indirectly actually placed many more at risk by his absolute failure at foreign policy and embarrassing feckless way he allowed the Iranian Radicals to take over the country by not supporting the Shah of Iran and the idiotic feckless methods he used to deal with the hostage situation.

Feckless emotionally filled uninformed naive Liberal Presidents and politicians will F things up all the time.

Rick Perry is a Corporatist, Neo-Con and unworthy of governing one of the largest states in the nation. He has usurped more power for the executive in Texas than any of his predecessors. He has constantly run over the right of his citizens in order to build a "stronger economy". He stood against the Obama administration with indignation, and yet, how well balanced is the Texas Government?
 
Both Perry and Hutch need to go away. Let's elect a Dem for the gov. I'm tired of the idiot Republicans in Texas. They are like the worst of the worst.

I was a McCAIN fan in 2000 and I changed part registration b/c of McCain/ I went to Inde after the Bushwhackers swiftboated McCAIN.
