I hope the panel can kick out MP's. Or refer them to the consituent and call a by election at will. We should have the power to recall our representative and if need be, make them step down.
To be able to kick out an MP, said MP needs to have done something criminal. Non of this is per say criminal according to the law. At worst they can recommend they step down or/and the party kick them out/suspend them.
I know you are disgusted by your elected officials, but if you allow an independent or any organisation to "kick out" elected people then you go from a democracy to a dictatorship. The ONLY people that can kick out elected people (unless they are criminal of course) are the people that elected them.
Now what this organisation could do was to force a by-election and let the people choose, but even that can be misused and goes against the very principles of your democracy.
The Uk has to move on. Set in stone a very strict set of rules for compensation of MPs including the punishment if the rules are broken. Like it or not, very few if any of the MPs have broken any rules or regulations what so ever. They have morally broken the trust of the British people, but that is what you have elections for.
