I figured you would manipulate something to attempt to prove your weak point. From your article here is what he said.

So in fact he is reaffirming the states CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS to RESTRICT this practice. He also goes on to say that there should be provisions which would protect mothers. Now again show me where he says he support late term abortions?

The Republicans are no better.

I see little difference between Democratic and Republican administrations. That's why the blame game is irrelevant. Both sides do stupid things.

DADT is a bigoted policy enacted to placate bigoted homophobes that resent gays. It's that simple and quite pathetic!

DADT was a compromise at the time and a step in the right direction.

I think this deserves nomination as most clueless post this month.

Hint: separate shower facilities are not a sure thing in the military for either sex, and depend on what you are doing. The only separation you will get in some cases is men from women.

Back on topic...it's long overdue that gay people should be able to serve their country openly.

And how long will gays have to live with this compromise? It's been 16 years since it was enacted and it's still here. Clinton got it through during his first year in office and then swept it under the rug.

I really don't know. the accomplishments made in gay rights have been enormous in the past 10 juxtaposed to the history of the USA and I do not see it stopping anytime soon.

In order to show the new open minded military tolerance, we can also paint the tanks a bright pink and put smiley faces on them.

Hard to believe the military would allow any Catholics to serve at all after the pedo scandals in the Catholic church the past fifty years.

The issue is not about gays in the military; it is about the policy of "don't ask, don't tell" and being OPENLY gay in the military. Try to keep up with the thread topics before you post your arguments will you? It allows us to avoid the circle of futility.

A number of things wrong with this. You do know about the origin and meaning of the phrase "peace dividend", right? You do know that alot of the things Clinton was blamed for in regard to "weakening the military" where actually policies started by president Bush the elder? I could go on, but you get the idea.
